Over the weekend the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) exhibited the world’s largest gold coin in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Guinness World Record gold bullion coin:
- Has a $1 million face value
- Weighs in at 100-kg (220 pounds)
- Contains 99.99 percent pure 24-karate gold
The coin was shown in the Canadian Embassy at a reception to further pursue new business opportunities. Royal Canadian Mint President and CEO, Ian E. Bennett, said:
"The Royal Canadian Mint is delighted to come to Abu Dhabi to showcase the world’s best and most exclusive gold bullion coin to the people of the United Arab Emirates. The Mint senses strong business opportunities in a market with such a high concentration of sophisticated investors.
