2012-W Proof Silver Eagles dominated an improved U.S. Mint weekly sales cycle. The collector proof Silver Eagles joined investment-grade bullion coins as top celebrities in the latest round of U.S. Mint sales.
Proof Silver Eagles surged 34,061 to hurdle over the 500,000 milestone. The coin’s recent suspension and $5 price cut attracted buyers, making them the Mint’s leading numismatic seller.

Upcoming Products Will Spur US Coin Sales
Upcoming American Eagle products will provide a bit more excitement for collectors and U.S. Mint sales stats. Scheduled to kickoff August for the U.S. Mint is Thursday’s release of the 2012-W Uncirculated American Silver Eagle. Collectors can get the new Silver Eagles beginning August 2 at noon ET for $45.95 each.
Next week has more Eagle products that will spur coin sales. There is the August 7 release of the Making American History Coin & Currency Set for $72.95. Then there is the launch of the 2012-W Proof American Platinum Eagle on August 9 for a yet undetermined price.
US Coin Sales: Bullion Coin Products
Demand jumped for U.S. Mint bullion coins during the final two weeks of July. Bullion sales actually peaked in the last seven days. But due to a sluggish July start, American Eagle and Buffalo coin sales were sharply lower than June. (Stay tuned to CoinNews.net for an upcoming, more detailed article about July bullion coin sales.)
The following table offers the latest U.S. Mint bullion sales figures. The most recent seven days sales period covers through to the end of July.

Mike U,
Thank you for the very through articles on Sales information.
* Do you know why the Mint is only offering the Lincoln Cent Rolls for 2010?
* Isn’t it unusual for the mint to offer 2010 products (i.e. Lincoln cent and ATB quarters) in 2012?
