As of noon today, July 8, the United States Mint started selling the annual 2014 America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Coin Set.
This set of 10 coins has a regular price of $12.95 with subscription pricing 10% less at $11.65. Subscribers are U.S. Mint customers who made an earlier commitment to order new sets as they are released.
This is the fifth year that the U.S. Mint has made the uncirculated set available. The coins in this set are part of the United States Mint’s America the Beautiful Quarters® Program that will feature at least 56 different designs through 2021 that commemorate national sites through the United States and its territories, including the District of Columbia.
As in past years, this year’s America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Set has five coins from the Denver Mint and five coins from the Philadelphia Mint. The quarters this year honor the following national parks:
- Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee
- Shenandoah National Park in Virginia
- Arches National Park in Utah
- Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado
- Everglades National Park in Florida
Each quarter is marked on its obverse side with P or D to note its mint of origin. The coins are displayed inside a folder with descriptions of each honored site, coin specifications and a U.S. Mint Certificate of Authenticity.
