Today, June 18, the United States Mint will release its 2019 War in the Pacific National Historical Park Quarter Three-Coin Set.
The new product for collectors will be available beginning at Noon (ET). Found within the set are three unique War in the Pacific quarters.
They are collector-grade editions that were produced at three different U.S. Mint facilities. The three-coin set includes:
- one 2019-S proof quarter from the San Francisco Mint,
- one 2019-P uncirculated quarter from the Philadelphia Mint and,
- one 2019-D uncirculated quarter from the Denver Mint
These coins bear the same basic imagery including a reverse (tails side) design emblematic of the War in the Pacific National Historical Park located in the United States territory of Guam. Circulating War in the Pacific quarters debuted on June 3rd with bags and rolls of them released on the same day.
The design was created by Joel Iskowitz with Michael Gaudioso sculpting. It depicts American forces coming ashore at Asan Bay, strengthening the number of troops on the island in the fight for Guam and its eventual liberation. Circling inscriptions read: "WAR IN THE PACIFIC," "GUAM," "2019," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
Shown on the obverse (heads side) is a portrait of George Washington by John Flanagan. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and "QUARTER DOLLAR" are inscribed around Washington. In addition, there is a mintmark of S, P or D indicating the coin’s facility of production — San Francisco, Philadelphia or Denver.
All three coins are attached to a durable plastic card that includes a picture of the historical park.

I ordered several of these sets, nice design especially the proof coin. Well worth the price of 9.95.
