The CoinNews mission…
CoinNews.net was built to deliver the latest coin news and information in a unique and conversational manner. Our goal is to have a place where you can enjoy quality discussions, read daily hot topics and experience a friendly atmosphere that serves and promotes coin collectors.
CoinNews does not buy or sell coins. CoinNews will never buy or sell coins. Revenue is received through ads and affiliates visibly seen on the site. Not a single dime has ever been made from CoinNews through any other means.
Staff Writers:
In addition to CoinNews staff and free-lance writers, content is provided on CoinNews through numismatic industry-leading companies and governments in the form of news releases and announcements. These are directly provided to CoinNews or we have sought permission. Here is a list of some of them.
Mike Unser, Owner and Editor-
Collecting coins has been a source of fun and excitement in my family for four generations. I started actively collecting in my early teens and have continued through every stage of my life and careers. That’s now over 30 years of collecting.
At CoinNews Media Group, LLC, we strive to be a great source of coin news, information and coin conversations for the benefit of anyone interested in coins and coin collecting.
If there’s anything you think of that can make this site better, please let us know about that too, in addition to any coin related comments you may have. Thank you.
Rhonda Kay –
I started collecting my coins around 2003. Although I’m a new coin collector, I grew up with an older brother who constantly told my sister and me to search through bags of circulated coins for rare dates/mints. My father collected currency so I was exposed to that side of collecting too. I also worked at a few banks as a teller and found myself looking at coins during the slow periods, but I was not actively collecting at the time, like I do now.
Darrin Lee –
While not the coin collector I would like to be, I always find enjoyment in it. Both by purchasing new coins, which can be fun for the present, or by finding older coins.
These older coins have a way of taking me back to the past, either imagining about what times were like when the coin was new, or just remembering my father adding to his collection when I was a kid! –
Guest Contributors –
CoinNews is always looking for interested collectors who would like to contribute to the numismatic hobby. While we’re currently not looking for full time staff writers, if you have an interesting story to tell, numismatic press release to distribute, coin show experience to relate or you would like an article you’ve written to reach tens of thousands of collectors like yourself, we’re happy to help out in any way we can.
Please check out our Contributing page.
