13th America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Set

Today, June 12, 2012, the U.S. Mint began accepting orders for the Acadia National Park Quarters Three-Coin Set.

It is the third issued in 2012 and the thirteenth in the series of America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Sets which first made their appearance in 2010 alongside the first ATB quarters.

The numismatic product was released with pricing of $9.95 on the U.S. Mint website at http://catalog.usmint.gov/ and contains three collector coins honoring the national park located in the state of Maine.

Included within the Acadia Quarters Three-Coin Set is one proof quarter from the San Francisco Mint, one uncirculated quarter from the Philadelphia Mint, and one uncirculated quarter from the Denver Mint. These three coins are struck especially for coin collectors and contain more detail than those found in everyday circulation.

All previous twelve sets are still available from the United States Mint. Until this year, the cards containing the three quarters were U.S. Mint black and white branded. This year’s sets are more attractive in appearances as they feature a colorful photograph of the national park or site honored. Prices for prior year sets are also higher at $14.95 per.

Sales of the sets are on the steady side, enjoying a following among collectors. The grid below provides the latest unit figures as of Monday, June 11, 2012.
