The latest US Mint weekly sales news articles focus on the debuting performance of the Yosemite America the Beautiful Quarter Three-Coin Set and the first full week of sales for the recently issued 2011 Medal of Honor Commemorative Coins.
The Yosemite Quarter Set was made available on March 3. Although it had one less day for its debut total than the previous Hot Springs and Yellowstone sets, it opened stronger with buyers ordering 11,441 of them. On the same topic of quarters, there was a surprise increase in sales of bags and rolls of Mount Hood Quarters which were released in November. Weekly levels for the quarters rose nearly as high as if they just released.
Medal of Honor Commemorative Coins launched on February 25. Gains were sold for each of the four coins during their first full week following their release, as highlighted in the table below:
