On Tuesday, September 18, 2012, the United States Mint began selling the Benjamin Harrison Presidential $1 Coin Cover, the 23rd release in the American Presidency $1 Coin Cover Series.
One day later, the U.S. Mint also provided the latest sales figures for the series. Before getting to those numbers, a few details about the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Dollar Coin Cover will be discussed first.
The limited-edition coin cover includes two circulating-quality Benjamin Harrison $1 Coins from the first day the dollars were produced. One dollar is minted from Denver and the other from Philadelphia. These coins are mounted to the left of a portrait of Benjamin Harrison, which itself is to the left of a U.S. 45-cent Weather Vane postage stamp.
Collectors can purchase the 23rd Presidential Dollar Coin Cover directly from the U.S. Mint online store, http://www.usmint.gov/catalog, or by calling 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468).
The American Presidency $1 Coin Cover Series was introduced in 2007 as a companion product to the new Presidential $1 Coin Program. To date, collectors may purchase coin covers back to 2009. The following grid offers the latest sales of the series.
