Final coin production figures for 2012 are published, and the United States Mint has closed out mintages by design for the 2012 America the Beautiful Quarters.
The annual trend of higher mintages continues, helped by an improving U.S. economy that is demanding more coins for daily transactions. For overall ATB Quarters mintages by year:
- 2010 is 347,000,000
- 2011 is 391,200,000
- 2012 is 568,006,000
Pushing 2012 way over the top were mintages for 2012 Denali National Park and Preserve Quarters. They easily ranked the highest since the America the Beautiful Quarters series began — by U.S. Mint facility and by the combined total. More of the Denali quarters were produced than the previous four 2012 quarters combined.
Two United States Mint facilities are responsible for striking all American coinage for circulation. These are the Denver Mint and Philadelphia Mint. To follow are mintage tables for America the Beautiful Quarters through to 2012. Columns provide the quarter design and production amounts for Denver, Philadelphia and for both combined.
