Presidential Dollars, 5-Star Generals Commemorative Coins and the 2013 Proof Set are scheduled to be released by the United States Mint in March, according to the Mint’s numismatic product schedule.
In total, the schedule indicates ten different products will be issued during the month, although the lion’s share is related to the 2013 5-Star Generals Commemorative Coin Program. Of the ten, seven of them are different options related to the commemoratives.
The reason for the plethora of the related options is because the commemorative program actually includes three different coins — a $5 gold coin, a silver dollar and a half-dollar clad coin (see coin designs). Each of those must be multiplied by two because they are struck in proof and uncirculated qualities. As for the seventh product, it is a 3-coin proof set.
Shown in the table below are the ten different products scheduled for release by the U.S. Mint in March. After the table, brief information on each product is provided.
