United States Mint products with Fort McHenry quarters in circulating quality went on sale August 26, 2013.
2013 Fort McHenry Quarter and Products
Available product options include single rolls, two-roll sets and bags of the quarters at prices ranging from $18.95 to $46.95 and in quantities of 40 coins to 120 coins from various minting facilities.
Staring sales of the Fort McHenry products were made available by the US Mint last week. As the 19th issued in the series of America the Beautiful Quarters, we again compare in this Coin News Extra article how their debut sales stack up against past starts.
A day shy of one week, sales during the period opened strongest for two-roll sets at 9,366. These sets include 40 quarters in a roll from the Denver Mint and 40 quarters in a roll from the Philadelphia Mint.
Second most popular with sales of 5,329 were three-roll sets of Fort McHenry quarters. This set has the same two rolls from Denver and Philadelphia and also a roll from the San Francisco Mint. Single rolls filled with the "S" mint marked ATB quarters were third at 3,018. Then came the 100-coin bags with those from San Francisco at 3,018, those from Philadelphia at 1,916 and those from Denver at 1,869.
Across all the products, a total of 2,138,480 Fort McHenry quarters were sold. This is a bit below the prior Great Basin quarters which started with sales of 2,150,200 and the Perry’s Victory quarters which opened at 2,210,700. The first ATB quarters of the year depicting White Mountain National Forest jumped out with a sales start of 3,216,680 coins.

**Debut sales for Mount Hood quarters are suspect because of erroneous order cancellations that occurred at the time due to issues with the United States Mint ordering system.
Collectors will have to wait almost two weeks for the next product release from the US Mint. Scheduled to launch on September 19, 2013 is the Fort McHenry Quarters Three-Coin Set for $9.95. This set includes an uncirculated Fort McHenry quarter from Philadelphia, an uncirculated Fort McHenry quarter from Denver and a proof Fort McHenry quarter from San Francisco.
Just one more America the Beautiful Quarter release for this year remains. That will be the Mount Rushmore National Memorial quarter. It’ll launch in rolls, sets and bags on November 4, 2013 with the three-coin set available on November 19, 2013.
