Hot Springs, Gettysburg and Glacier ATB Coins

Arriving during the month April are three America the Beautiful 5 oz Silver Coins, the U.S. Mint has indicated through its product schedule and a memo sent to its bullion distributors.

The U.S. Mint on Thursday, April 7, sent a memorandum to its Authorized Purchasers who resell ATB bullion coins. The memo said it would begin accepting orders on April 28 for the first two of five 2011 America the Beautiful 5 oz Silver Bullion Coins which celebrate Pennsylvania’s Gettysburg National Military Park and Montana’s Glacier National Park. The Mint also said it would allocate an "initial quantity of 126,500 for each of the first two issues," greatly surpassing the 33,000 limits for each of the 2010 bullion coins.

Prior to the ATB bullion coins announcement, the U.S. Mint had placed the debuting 2010 America the Beautiful Silver Uncirculated Coin on its product schedule. The schedule indicates that the Mint will begin selling the numismatic Hot Springs National Park 5 oz Silver Uncirculated Coin directly to the public on April 25. This 5 oz uncirculated coin, and the remaining four other 2010-dated issues, has a 27,000 mintage. Pricing and household limits have yet to be announced.

More details about each of the ATB coins are available by reading the various news articles below.
