The American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money® convention is packed with exciting collector opportunities and coin exhibits.
Beginning Wednesday, July 30 and ending Sunday, August 3., this year’s convention in Baltimore, Maryland is sure to be one of the best.

Philadelphia artist Jim Licaretz is the 2008 recipient of the American Numismatic Association’s Numismatic Art Award for Excellence in Medallic Sculpture. He will accept the honor on Aug. 2 at the ANA World’s Fair of Money® in Baltimore. -
Sam Deep to Receive Exemplary Service Award
Pennsylvania collector Sam Deep will receive the American Numismatic Association’s Exemplary Service Award Aug. 2 at the Baltimore World’s Fair of Money®. -
Leon Hendrickson Named Numismatist of the Year
Leon Hendrickson is the recipient of the American Numismatic Association’s 2008 Numismatist of the Year for his many contributions to the hobby. He will be presented the award during the ANA Membership Reception at 4 p.m. Aug. 1 during the World’s Fair of Money® in Baltimore. -
Gene Hessler to Receive the Farran Zerbe Award
Gene Hessler is the 2008 recipient of the American Numismatic Association’s highest honor, the Farran Zerbe Memorial Award for Distinguished Service. He will be presented the accolade Aug. 2 during the Awards Banquet at the World’s Fair of Money® in Baltimore. -

CCAC to Review American Eagle Platinum Designs at ANA World’s Fair of Money®
The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) will next meet at the upcoming American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money convention in Baltimore. In addition to reviewing reverse designs for the 2009 American Eagle Platinum Proof Coin, the CCAC has invited the public to share their views, opinions and suggestions in an open forum.

Collectors Invited to Baltimore PNG Day, July 29, 2008
This year’s annual PNG Day conducted by the Professional Numismatists Guild in conjunction with the American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money® convention will be Tuesday, July 29, 2008, in Hall A of the Baltimore Convention Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Collectors are cordially invited to attend; however, an invitation is required for admission. -
Summer 2008 PNG Share the Knowledge Seminars
The Professional Numismatists Guild will continue its year-long series of PNG Share the Knowledge educational seminars at major numismatic conventions in June and August. Programs will be conducted by PNG member-dealers at the Whitman Baltimore Coin and Currency Convention, June 6; the American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money® in Baltimore, August 1 and 2; and at the Whitman Coin and Collectibles Atlanta Expo, August 22, 2008.

U.S. Mint to Unveil 2009 Saint-Gaudens Gold Coin at ANA Convention in Baltimore
Collectors will first see the 2009 Ultra-High-Relief Saint-Gaudens $20 gold coin July 30 at ANA’s World’s Fair of Money® in Baltimore. The United States Mint announced today that Mint Director Ed Moy will reveal the coin, which is a modern version of the 1907 Augustus Saint-Gaudens $20 Double Eagle — often described as the most beautiful gold piece ever made. -

The United States Mint has announced that Director Moy will host a public forum at the Baltimore 2008 ANA World’s Fair of Money® on Friday, August 1.
In addition, there will be nearly 20 world mints and several hundred coin dealers at the convention.
