The latest US Mint coin to join the "sold out" ranks is the 1/10 ounce 2008-W American Eagle Gold Uncirculated Coin.
The gold option was pulled from the Mint online store on Tuesday, and follows the gold eagle four-coin set sellout last Tuesday, Feb. 3.
The coin price guide shows 8,643 of the coins been sold. This collector coin will not be issued in 2009, as the Mint announced late last year that it would be eliminated from its numismatic portfolio.
The most recent Mint price for the gold coin was $134.50. Depending on the grade, current eBay auctions now have prices listed between $190-$250.
Still available for sale from the Mint are the 1 ounce, 1/2 ounce, and 1/4 ounce options. Only the 1 ounce size will return this year.
