Heritage Auctions will serve as the official auctioneer for the next four American Numismatic Association fall National Money Shows, beginning October 13-15, 2011 in Pittsburgh, ANA Executive Director Larry Shepherd has announced.
"We are thrilled that Heritage has agreed to be our official fall National Money Show auctioneer through 2014," said Shepherd. "Our new fall National Money Show is quickly becoming a premier event, and we expect Heritage will help ensure that it is truly memorable."
"This is a great opportunity for Heritage to deliver first-rate auctions at a critical time as the ANA introduces a major new show to the numismatic community," said Steve Ivy, Chief Executive Officer of Heritage. "We look forward to holding spectacular auctions at fall ANA conventions beginning with Pittsburgh this year."
As part of the agreement, Heritage agreed to make a significant ongoing commitment to promoting ANA educational programs and, in particular, the annual Summer Seminar in Colorado Springs.
"We believe strongly that the ANA provides the best education available in the hobby," said Heritage President Greg Rohan. "We look forward to encouraging more hobbyists to join the ANA and develop their knowledge base through ANA programs."
Heritage will conduct live auctions in Pittsburgh Oct. 13-15 as well as a sanctioned Internet auction immediately preceding the show. Heritage Auctions is based in Dallas, and is one of the largest auction houses in the world. For more information, visit www.HA.com.
