June starts quickly for the United States Mint as it introduces four products in the first week alone. These include the bullion and collector versions of Perry’s Victory five ounce silver coins, the uncirculated Mint Set and the uncirculated American Gold Eagle.
Kicking the week off on Monday, June 3, is the 2013 Perry’s Victory Five Ounce Silver Bullion Coin. As a bullion product, the U.S. Mint does not sell these 99.9% pure silver coins straight to the public. U.S. Mint Authorized Purchasers order them at a premium of $9.75 per coin and in quantities of 500 ounces/100 coins, with 500 ounces/100 coin ordering increments. Once the coins make their way into dealer hands, they should be available for about $3-$5 per ounce over spot silver.

Tuesday, June 4, the 2013 US Mint Set debuts for $27.95. Officially dubbed the 2013 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set®, the annually issued product includes a total of 28 coins.
These uncirculated coins arrive in two folders. One folder holds 14 coins produced at the Philadelphia Mint and the other folder has 14 coins struck at the Denver Mint. Inside each folder are the Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime, five America the Beautiful Quarters, Kennedy half-dollar, the four 2013 Presidential $1 Coins and this year’s Native American $1 Coin.
These uncirculated Mint Sets are very popular. Last year’s set sold out with sales at 392,224. Sales ended for the 2011 Mint Set at 533,529.

Two numismatic products are offered on Thursday, June 6. One is the collector 2013-P Perry’s Victory Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin for $179.95. This shares the same design and specs as the bullion version described above. Differences include its uncirculated finish, the presence of a "P" mint mark and how it is sold. As a product for collectors, the U.S. Mint sells them individually and directly to the public.
As a reminder, the first of the 2013-dated America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins honors White Mountain National Forest. The U.S. Mint released it just over two weeks ago. Its sales started much quicker than last year’s silver coins. As of Monday, orders were at 12,621.

Finally, the 2013-W Uncirculated American Gold Eagle also makes an appearance on Thursday.
Because of its one-ounce of 22-karat gold, pricing for the Gold Eagle will not be known until the day before its sales debut and it can change weekly. Based on the Mint’s gold coin pricing matrix, if the uncirculated Gold Eagle launched today it would sell for $1,675.00. On Thursday, gold prices jumped above $1,400 an ounce for the first time in more than two weeks. If gold stays above that level and below $1,450, the Gold Eagle will debut $50 higher at $1,725.00.

Good news is the 5 oz pucks are not so long delayed into or beyond the sales year as they were in previous years.
Bad news, the pricing and the release dates are still too unpredictable for those who would like to budget their purchases. At least better than the first spouse series, but not much.
