Shenandoah National Park Quarters will launch into circulation and in U.S. Mint roll and bag products on March 31, 2013.
A few days later, representatives from the United States Mint and National Park Service will officially unveil the quarter commemorating the park in Virginia at a special launch ceremony. Surrounding that ceremony is a coin forum and a coin exchange. Each of these events is free and open to the public.
This national park quarter, the second issue of the year and the 22nd overall in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program, features Phebe Hemphill’s design of a day hiker taking in the view from Little Stony Man summit.
