New on the sales charts for United States Mint products are 2014 Native American $1 Coins in rolls, bags, and boxes.
Coins of the series have an annually changing reverse with the newest dollars featuring a design that is emblematic of the Lewis and Clark Expedition into the northwest quadrant.
Released on Thursday, March 20, collectors ordered a total of 873,875 coins spread across the six available roll, bag and box products. The level was markedly down from the over 1.2 million coins ordered in the opening few days of last year’s release. That total, however, was also supported by 500-coin boxes of the dollars which have since been discontinued.
Here’s a quick breakdown showing how starting sales have varied over the years.

In some cases, the number of days in the initial sales reporting period has also varied. United States Mint New feedback that indicates extremely strong demand for the 2014 National Baseball Hall of Fame Commemorative Coins. In order to satisfy all customers, we will impose new household ordering limits. The coins go on sale at noon Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) March 27.
The household order limits are:
• Proof and Uncirculated $5 Gold Coins – 50 coins each
• Proof and Uncirculated Silver Dollars – 100 coins each
• Proof and Uncirculated Clad Half-Dollars – 100 coins each
are the 2014 pennies available?
I always like a new coin, but not a big fan of the design.
