New world coins from the Perth Mint and the Royal Canadian Mint attracted the most reads among the 19 articles on CoinNews last week.
That’ll probably extend into this week since we have more coins from them to talk about and it’ll be almost two weeks before there’s another product launch from the United States Mint.
U.S. coin news last week centered on the Mint’s new website as well as some designs for upcoming coins and medals. We’ll have a couple more design articles this week and a piece on our visit to the San Francisco Mint.

2014 Platinum Eagle Bullion Coin Sales Stop at 16,700 – Wednesday, Oct. 1, was the last day for distributors to buy 2014 American Platinum Eagle Bullion Coins from the United States Mint. Sales of the 99.95% pure platinum coins kicked off on Mar. 10, 2014 after a five-year hiatus. They will continue again in early January with new 2015-dated versions.
