Today, Oct. 21, the United States Mint released the latest addition to its series of Presidential $1 Coin and First Spouse Medal Sets. The set honors the 32nd President of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and his wife, Eleanor.
This product comes with one uncirculated quality FDR Presidential $1 Coin and one Eleanor Roosevelt First Spouse Bronze Medal. The dollar and bronze medal are held in a decorative card with portraits of the two along with their signatures.
The bronze medal is made in the likeness of the Eleanor Roosevelt First Spouse Gold Coin, which launched on Sept. 4. All First Spouse Gold Coins are struck at the West Point Mint out of 0.5 ounce 24-karat gold and are available in uncirculated and proof finishes. Currently, the U.S. Mint is selling proofs for $815 and uncirculated issues for $795. These prices may vary from week to week as gold moves up or down.
Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential $1 Coins became available for sale from the U.S. Mint in rolls, bags and boxes on Aug. 28. The prices of these products range from $32.95 all the way up to $275.95.
