Collectors can now look ahead to upcoming products from the United States Mint, including brand new issues in high-relief. The agency today published its preliminary schedule and it’s filled with products through the 12 months of 2015.
Released about a week later than the time last year when the preliminary product schedule went up for 2014, this year’s schedule starts more complete with specific launch dates listed for January and February. Beyond that, release months are known.
Of note, the 2015 U.S. Marshals Service 225th Anniversary Commemorative Coins debut on Jan. 29 and the commemorative 2015 March of Dimes Silver Dollars launch in March. On-sale dates are still to be determined for several products, including:
- 2015 First Spouse Gold Coins
- 2015 Presidential $1 Coin & First Spouse Medal Sets
- 2015 Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Set
- 2015 First Spouse Medal Set
- 2015 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set
- 2015 March of Dimes Special Set
- 2015 Proof American Platinum Eagle
New Products and High-Reliefs
Then there are brand new high-relief products, the 2015 High Relief 24K Gold Coin and the 2015 High Relief Silver Medal, also with yet to be known on-sale dates. And collectors of the Coin and Chronicles Sets will be happy to hear that the Mint plans sets for all four presidents honored next year:
- 2015 Harry S. Truman Coin & Chronicles Set
- 2015 Dwight D. Eisenhower Coin & Chronicles Set
- 2015 John F. Kennedy Coin & Chronicles Set
- 2015 Lyndon B. Johnson Coin & Chronicles Set
On-sale dates for these are also still in the works.
Product Pricing
Most product pricing is forthcoming as well. We talked earlier about the lower price of the 2015 Proof Silver Eagle at $48.95. Adam Stump, deputy director of the U.S. Mint’s Office of Corporate Communications, summarized the same information in a message today and briefly mentioned other pricing.
"The 2014 and 2015 American Eagle Silver proof pricing is now posted in the federal register. The 2014 American Eagle Silver Proof price is being reduced to the new price of $48.95 at 12:01 pm today. As the first precious metal product to launch in 2015, the 2015 American Eagle Silver Proof coin will debut at the price of $48.95. In an effort to remain consistent with product pricing for the 2015 American Eagle Silver Proof Coin, the United States Mint is lowering the current price for the 2014 American Eagle Silver Proof Coin to $48.95. Pricing on other 2015 silver products are currently being analyzed."
Pricing for the silver and clad 2015 U.S. Marshals Service 225th Anniversary Commemorative Coins was established earlier this year.

Where’s the uncirculated ATB San Francisco 40 coin rolls singular offering that I have as a subscription for ? Have they deleted that to favor the PDS collective, and there by now put the S mint into circulation too ?
The list is obviously not complete.
I wonder how they can think about a 2015 limited edition sliver proof set when they haven’t even set a date for the 2014 version. But then again it also is in the yet to be determined on sale date list so I wonder if they’ll wait until the end of December for that one too?
I also am waiting for the 2014 version of the limited edition silver proof set. Are they even going to have it being ,
as they’ve already determined there will be a 2015 version of it which I wonder if that will ever happen as well?
I looked for the 2014 version because of the Kennedy half dollar which might have had yet another kind of finish for the coin. Apparently they couldn’t decide on what to do – another example of Dep Dir Peterson’s hand in the activities (or lack thereof) of the US Mint. Otherwise I’ve always felt the limited edition was only a repackaging of coins already issued and that the black and white packaging was unimaginative and way too expensive for coins already offered in other sets.
