Highlights from this week’s U.S. Mint sales report include first showings for products with Harry S. Truman Presidential $1 Coins and America the Beautiful Quarters.
Truman dollars aren’t getting a lot of love from collectors, at least in the early going. On Thursday, Feb. 5, six products with Truman $1 coins launched. Available options include rolls, bags and boxes of circulating-quality $1 coins struck in Philadelphia and Denver with mint marks of ‘P’ and ‘D’. Here’s a breakdown of their starts by product type:
Opening Sales of 2015 Harry S. Truman Presidential $1 Coins
Products | Price | Unit Sales | 1s |
---|---|---|---|
25-Coin Roll (P) | $32.95 | 8,605 | 215,125 |
25-Coin Roll (D) | $32.95 | 7,747 | 193,675 |
100-Coin Bags (P) | $111.95 | 704 | 70,400 |
100-Coin Bags (D) | $111.95 | 729 | 72,900 |

250-Coin Box (D) | $275.95 | 2,294 | 573,500 |
Total | 1,994,850 |
The nearly 2 million coin total ranks at the very bottom. Sales of all past Presidential $1 Coins started quicker. In a stark contrast, the immediate prior dollars honoring Franklin D. Roosevelt opened with sales totaling 2,807,075 coins — the quickest pace since the U.S. Mint stopped selling 500-coin boxes of dollars in late 2013.

Seems like many of the products aren’t selling well enough to justify continuing to keep them in stock. And what’s with the First Spouses having such negative numbers across the board?
big news: Ronald Reagan will be last one President Dollar Coin ,! What about jimmy Carter ? idk
2014 silver limited set will be come out at March 17, is this black horse ?
Jimmy Carter is still going strong at 90. I don’t know if the Mint’s said what they’ll do if a president who served earlier outlives another who served later.
