Perth Mint bullion products ended mixed in February as sales of gold coins and gold bars grew from the prior month but sales of silver coins slipped to a ten-month low.
Perth Mint gold sales advanced 31,981 ounces last month for a 38% increase from the 23,174 ounces sold in January, the weakest month since April 2012. Sales fell 32% from the 47,003 ounces moved a year earlier.
February sales of silver coins at 392,114 ounces dropped 33.1% from the 585,953 ounces in January but they inched up from the 392,088 ounces sold in February 2014.

US Mint Bullion Sales in February
U.S. Mint bullion sales in February slowed from a month and year earlier.
American Silver Eagle bullion sales at 3.022 million ounces fell 45.4% from January sales of 5.53 million ounces and declined 19.4% from the 3.75 million ounces registered in February 2014.
American Gold Eagle bullion sales at 18,500 ounces dropped 77.2% from the prior month’s 81,000 ounces and fell 40.3% from the 31,000 ounces sold a year earlier.
American Buffalo gold coins at 12,000 ounces declined 65.2% from January sales of 34,500 ounces. Year-ago February sales also reached 12,000 ounces.
