Visit the United States Mint website at http://catalog.usmint.gov for product information.
So if the overall mintage limit for the 5 oz ATB coins is 65,000 and they have already sold 44,000 of the Blue Ridge bullion version, does that mean the P mint uncirculated version is limited to 21,000? It is currently at 16,085 so there are still a lot left, but if they make another 2 to 4K of the bullion version, a quicker sellout could be in the works.
David, the bullion Blue Ridge Parkway 5 oz coin just sold out today at 45,000. That leaves a possible 20,000 total for the collector uncirculated version.
Mike Unser,
Why so many revised “down” sales of some first spouse coins that have not been available for long time? Also, have “final” sales ever been released for the collector versions of the 5 oz ATB coins for the years 2011 thru 2014?
Thank you.
First Spouse sales reports are a joke. Edith Roosevelt Proof, last 5 weeks: “-50, +50, -50, +50, -50”. Similar for McKinley proof.
Something else to put in your pipe to smoke on the spouses. Any coin minted with a final number under 6,000 from the US mint should be in the lowest number of coins ever made. See Eric Jordan’s “Modern Commemorative Coins” book. I count some 56 spouses already in that category now. Some NOW are even under his 2,000 minimum limit page 48. Last Paragraph. And mixed with the fact that the bullion houses melted many many thousands of the first year make all mintage records suspect. True rarity will end up being how many coins are available – and… Read more »
I wonder if the Mint will ever officially sell out of a product again? In the year 2050 will they still be selling products from 2010, 2012 and 2013?
I thought the Frist Spouse gold coin hokey pokey dance had ended last week, never underestimate the US Mint. “First Spouse sales reports are a joke.” seeming more like a Mint tragedy to me.
In 2019 they are doing a MOON 50 year 5 oz. curved coin – that might do a lot better than the Hawaii & the Denali 5 oz’s of years ago. I see MCM is paying $250 cash for 2 $57 sets of Eisenhowers coming out soon. The tragedies of the past mixed with demand make the real home runs – the current and future tragedies make amazing grand slam winners of then and the future. It’s all about mismanagement mixed with tremendous politics then the normal/abnormal mindsets. Your job if you accept these “mission impossibles” is to be one… Read more »
