On Tuesday, Aug. 11, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) started standalone sales of the Series 2013 $2 note from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and the Series 2009 $2 note from the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. These bills feature serial numbers beginning with the year "2015."
A three-note collection with both notes along with a Series 2009 $2 note from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York launched on Aug. 4 for $23.85. Limited to 2,000 sets, the collection sold out by the next day.
Each note is inside a clear, acid-free polymer sleeve that is within a folder representative of the corresponding Federal Reserve District.
