The United States Mint has announced launch details for the five 2016 America the Beautiful Quarters. The agency previously revealed designs for all five quarters and next week CoinNews will present photos of collector editions taken during a recent visit to the U.S. Mint at San Francisco.
2016 quarters commemorate Shawnee National Forest in Illinois, Cumberland Gap National Historical Park in Kentucky, Harpers Ferry National Historical Park in West Virginia, Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota, and Fort Moultrie at Fort Sumter National Monument in South Carolina. Each quarter has unique dates for:
- their release into circulation,
- their official launch ceremony, and
- their availability in U.S. Mint-branded rolls and bags.
The U.S. Mint has provided the following preliminary details for the five quarter launch ceremonies:

Launch ceremonies are free and open to the public. A coin exchange follows each one, giving those who attend an opportunity to swap cash for rolls of the new coins. Additionally, the U.S. Mint hosts a free coin forum the evening prior to the ceremony.
