The James Earl Jones-narrated video, "Money: History in Your Hands," is available for free viewing, the Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG) announced today, May 25.
Created by the PNG and the American Numismatic Association (ANA), the two-part video offers viewers a history of money and how it relates to art, culture, politics and religion, PNG Executive Director Robert Brueggeman described.
Other free-to-watch PNG videos cover topics like coin collecting, working with a reputable dealers when buying or selling coins, and finding coin values.
"We currently have more than a dozen videos about rare coins, paper money and precious metals available for complimentary viewing on PNG’s YouTube channel," Brueggeman said. "They will be helpful for beginners to advanced collectors and investors with informative advice about buying, storing and selling numismatic items as well as gold, silver and platinum bullion items."
PNG videos, including "Money: History in Your Hands," are available on the company’s YouTube channel located here.
The PNG is a nonprofit organization composed of many of the top rare coin and paper money dealers in the United States and other countries. For additional information, visit PNG at PNGdealers.org.
Sounds like a real public service by the PNG, good for them. And I like it that Jones is holding the coin properly, by the edges. Too often you see shows where actors are “thumbing” them. Either he’s a collector or somebody made sure this was done right.
