Only thought I had on these medals is why did the Mint make one back in June then make four others of the same coin. So If I would purchase I would have 5 coins of the same design! Why? Also why did they not do this for the 2016 medal that sold out in minutes. Very confusing the Mint is.
Just another gimmick for the mint.
Oct.19 first day release I received an email from the mint & ordered 1 4 coin set.Oct 20 I received in the mail from the mint a free shipping offer on the set. Oct.22 received an email on the same free shipping offer . I know it’s only 4.95 the point is the offer wasn’t made on the first day.
Still looking forward to receiving the 4 coin set. Just puzzled about the free shipping offer roll out??? A day late & $4.95 short. Ha ha.
You have to buy the single medal which is a P proof, then in the set the P mint is a reverse proof and the S mint is the proof. Are they going to have an uncirculated gold proof?
Priced to high over current silver price. $200 for around $70 silver. I would have got some but now at that price. Maybe $110 but no higher. Plus a Medal not a Coin.
I have milky spots on medals:(
Thanks, but no tanks, nice set but WAY overpriced. Also, for resale the medal marketis strong for rarities not 50k minted items. I will wait & see if I can get a set for spot’ish in a year or two, I realy don’t care if I get this, the mint eliminated my former addiction from being shut out & played by the mint’s BS, so as they say, I will save the money, instead of 5 sets I am gong to the WORLD SERIES!!
Mike: I believe if you call the mint and asked for the $4.95 shipping charge to be credited back, I think they would honor this since that special started before this sale.
Would someone please post the free shipping code for the medal set?

It is: ANNIVERSARY

Thank you.
This is a microcosm of what is happening with the US Mint.
Very sad.
Only 50,000 minted and not even half of them are sold yet.
Heck, the “10-Coin Enhanced Set,” isn’t even Sold Out yet and the price for that product is only $29.95.
Another comment to add on the 225 Annivesary coins. I have purchased many of the S Uncirculated enhanced set and 2017 P liberty proof medal graded 70 and all I have been finding many have inperfections and quality issues. What’s concerning is that the medals are having this issue but NGC still grades it 70?
good news, the EU set shows only 450 sets left, looks like sell out by mid night 10/17. they will fall short of the 225,000 total mintage which is a good thing
hey coinstar i see the EU sets sold 6066 sets last week as of 10/22/17 which is very good compared to the previous 2 months ,but but where did you get that number if there were only 450 sets left i think they would be gone by now? hope you’re right anyway. 9:37 am 10/27/17 est. NJ
they will be gone today, estimated time was a bit off. looks like they will not sell the damaged returns
i’m a bulk dealer, can see sets remaining up to 9,999
down to 40 sets- 1:02 eastern time
unavailable! 1:18 AM
PM, sorry
there you go coinstar right on
don’t buy these 4 coin medal sets, they will be selling for about 100 per set a year from now
When I ordered my two American Liberty 225th Anniversary Silver Four-Medal Sets last week on the first day October 19, 2017, I was unaware at that time of the Free Shipping Promo Coupon Code “ANNIVERSARY”. I later telephoned the U.S. Mint @ 1-800-872-6468 and spoke to Customer Service regarding my order number and I retroactively requested the Free Shipping Promo Coupon Code “ANNIVERSARY”. She was very nice & helpful and rebated my earlier $4.95 shipping charge.
10 coin EU set Sellout 10/27/17 back on sale 10/28/17 10:00 am this is about the third or fourth time allready . what’s up with that set
they are now selling the returns from the past 4,000 sets that sold
I received my two sets a few days ago and just opened mine today.
I have to say, it is a very attractive presentation. I will be returning one, but I’m keeping the one I opened. The coins are perfect.
They might be over-priced, but they are a beautiful set.
Finally recieved my order, and for me, the reverse proof is worth the cost of the set. I wish the USMint would have also sold that separately!
EU set sold out today 10/30 Gary
Right on, Coinstar. They really are “Unavailable.”
don’t hold your breath waiting for the soldout post ,but thanks for the info coinstar
I was very disappointed with the mints pi**-poor way they packed my 2 sets for shipping. NO styro peanuts, just one lone sheet of tissue paper ! One set rcd in damaged condition !!
