About the BEP
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s main mission is to develop and produce United States banknotes. The agency prints billions of Federal Reserve Notes each year for delivery to the Federal Reserve System. These notes are produced at facilities in Washington, DC, and Fort Worth, TX.
With a limit of only 12,000, these sold out within 48 hours.
I picked up a few.
I got 10 just because of low mintage. Wish I got the pig dollars but they were sold out.
Cute, though it is surprising to me that they are still using the 2013 series note. I’ve been watching for the current (2017) ones and so far found exactly one, in Key West. Maybe they are sitting in vaults by the billions.
2017s been showing up in MI
Thanks. I’m in Minnesota, guess they’ll get here in time.
