Introductory prices are ending later today, Feb. 25, for the gold, silver and clad Apollo 11 coins commemorating the 50th anniversary of the first manned landing on the Moon.
Regular United States Mint pricing for the collector proof and uncirculated coins go into effect after 3:00 p.m. ET. At that time, each coin’s price will rise by $5. The Apollo 11 coins launched Jan. 24.

As directed by the commemoratives’ authorizing act, Public Law 114-282, coin prices include surcharges of $35 per gold coin, $10 per silver dollar, $5 for each half-dollar, and $50 for each five-ounce silver coin. The collected funds will be distributed between the Smithsonian Institution’s National Air and Space Museum’s Destination Moon exhibition; the Astronauts Memorial Foundation; and the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation.

Your story did not address the back order status of the 5 oz. silver coin. I ordered one shortly after the series opened and was immediately placed on back order. Will I be getting the early discount price even though it will actually be after the early order? Thanks to you for a very fine service. Cheers
