Collectors can soon order a ten-coin collection of quarters with designs honoring national sites in American Samoa, Connecticut, U.S. Virgin Islands, Vermont and Kansas.
The United States Mint at noon EDT today will release its 2020 America the Beautiful Quarters Circulating Coin Set™ for $10.
This product contains examples of each of this year’s quarters which are issued as part of the U.S. Mint’s series of America the Beautiful quarter dollars. It includes pairings of five quarters from the Denver Mint (D) and five quarters from the Philadelphia Mint (P). Their one-year-only reverse designs celebrate:
- National Park of American Samoa,
- Weir Farm National Historic Site in Connecticut,
- Salt River Bay National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve in the U.S. Virgin Islands,
- Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park in Vermont, and
- Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in Kansas.
All of the quarters are struck in circulating finish. All share the same obverse (heads side) portrait of George Washington.
Minting and Easy-To-Open Packaging
The quarters are taken from the two facilities tasked with producing circulating coinage for the nation. These ten-coin sets offers a means of getting quarters quickly without having to search for them in pocket change. That as well as its low price and easy-to-open packaging are its key attractions.
The quarters ship in a durable plastic card which allows them to be easily removed and placed in coin albums or other storage products.
Sales of Past Sets
The U.S. Mint’s program of America the Beautiful Quarters® was introduced in 2010. Since then, quarter products have been released annually for collectors. Sales of the circulating quarter sets through Sunday, Oct. 4, totaled:
- 40,768 for the 2010 set (unavailable),
- 37,188 for the 2011 set (unavailable),
- 24,869 for the 2012 set (unavailable),
- 29,898 for the 2013 set (unavailable),
- 24,696 for the 2014 set (unavailable),
- 22,356 for the 2015 set (unavailable),
- 23,958 for the 2016 set (unavailable),
- 24,765 for the 2017 set (unavailable),
- 22,641 for the 2018 set (unavailable), and
- 21,978 for the 2019 set (still available).
Prior to this year, prices for the sets ranged from $5.95 to $9.95. Last year’s set, which remains available, is $8.95.

Order America the Beautiful Quarters Circulating Coin Sets from the U.S. Mint via its online store for quarter products. No initial mintage, product or household order limit is in place.
Of note, 2020 marks the last full year for the America the Beautiful Quarter series.

This is for the collectors, such as i, who stickem in books and have a hard time finding one mint or the other. In my case i live on the west coast so “D” mints are easily found, but not the “P”. If we do find them they are usually a few ears behind and dirty. At least this way we have the years releases, otherwise we end up having to go on ebay and spend maybe a bit more getting the missing, in my case “P” mint marks. . This is strictly for the sake of the hobby .
Yes I agree. I think the Bat coin is awesome. A 5 ounce silver proof of it is superb!
The uncirculated mint sets need to go back to 28 coins, like when the mint issued the presidential $$. Now there is no choice but Ebay to fill your book for the Innovation $$. The Bat coin is a work of art compared to these!!!
But why not make it a P-D-S circulating set? Why is San Francisco ignored?
I believe it’s because they don’t circulate the S mint mark. And they are proofs only from San Francisco mint.
