RARCOA, a prominent and well-capitalized firm, is carefully selecting coins for quality, eye appeal and other desirable traits to be certified with a new Green Label from Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). This dealer is also making markets in NGC Green Label coins by placing sight unseen bids on them on dealer-to-dealer electronic trading platforms.
The coins selected by RARCOA for the NGC Green Label possess a variety of collector-friendly attributes, including attractive eye appeal, a strong strike, impressive luster or great color.
For example, a Morgan Dollar with cartwheel luster, a Peace Dollar with a sharp strike and swirling luster or a gold coin with pleasing color may be eligible for the NGC Green Label.
Importantly, RARCOA provides substantial market support for NGC Green Label coins by placing bids on them on dealer-to-dealer electronic trading platforms.
Collectors can be confident that NGC Green Label coins have been graded by NGC’s team of experts according to the internationally recognized NGC Grading Scale.
"When collectors see a coin certified with the NGC Green Label, they will know that it has received additional scrutiny and is supported by a robust, two-way market," says Mark Salzberg, NGC Chairman and Grading Finalizer. "As always, collectors will also benefit from NGC’s accurate and consistent grading, state-of-the-art holder and industry-leading guarantee of authenticity and grade."
All coins encapsulated with the NGC Green Label are backed by the comprehensive NGC Guarantee of authenticity and grade. This financial guarantee enhances the safety, value and liquidity of NGC-certified coins.
"By identifying coins that are worthy of distinction, the NGC Green Label makes it easier for collectors to recognize, trade and value quality coins," says Wayde Milas, President of RARCOA. "This advantage is powerful when combined with RARCOA’s commitment to maintaining sight unseen bids for the NGC Green Label coins on a wholesale level."
RARCOA is partnering with a small group of select retailers, including ModernCoinMart (moderncoinmart.com/ngc-green-label), to offer coins with the NGC Green Label.

I Wonder when the new braille holder will be coming out? You wouldnt even have to look at the COIN you want to buy, just run your fingers over the holder. What a concept! Of course they will offer abbreviated classes for those folks that cant read braille. And no i do not have anything against people with vision impairments. I just cant believe how far these labels are progressing. Whats wrong with a grade and authenticity? I wish someone could put an understandable comment on here to explain why FDOI, Advance Releases, Early release, Eagle core holder, Bay Bridge… Read more »
What a “cozy, unethical relationship” NGC has with coin dealership RARCOA! Shady, biased business for sure – second tier NGC.

Does RARCOA give green S&H savings stamps with each NGC green label coin purchase??!! Lol.

Exactly! And I would pay good coins or greenbacks for freshly-fried green tomatoes…like grandma made, right from the garden.

Oh how I miss the good old days when things were simpler and not so complicated. And it seems like it is happening everywhere! I use to be able to go the store when my wife would ask me to go get something for her and get back home with whatever my wife needed. Easy! Now a days I have to take, not a list, but a picture on my phone to show me exactly what to look for. It maybe something like, original, extra strength or ultra strong, with or without “this” and “that” And then some things come… Read more »
NGC is making itself irrelevant by making their business be more about packaging and labeling than the coins themselves. All they seem to focus on as of late is marketing. Guess they have to somehow pay for their recents expansions, hiring and foray into other collectibles on the backs of naive collectors in numistmatics that fall for the gimmicks. I wont go out of my way to avoid NGC, after all I collect the coin not the plastic, but this will be on the back of my mind when searching because I dont like supporting shady companies. They are delegitimizing… Read more »
Right now there is no coin label that is going to make a coin that grades a 70 turn a coin to grade a 71. I can see in the future the grading scale being change to 100 instead of the current system where the highest a coin can grade is 70. Why? coin grading service sooner or later will run out of gimmicks, and ways to BS the industry. They will push for the new system to make sure for growth in their business. Like in the present, and the past those that spend the most money with their… Read more »
Next you’ll be telling me I need to replace all 8-tracks with…
…cassettes. Sorry for the interruption, the 8-track just changed mid-texting (it’s hooked up to my electronic abacus and UPI teletype)!
