Palladium declined on Wednesday while gold, silver and platinum gained. Gold ended the day at an almost one-month high.
Gold for August delivery advanced $15.10, or 0.8%, to settle at $1,825 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. The settlement was the highest since June 16 when gold ended at $1,861.40 an ounce.
"Technically, the gold bulls have the overall near-term technical advantage and gained some more power today. A fledgling price uptrend is in place on the daily bar chart. Bulls’ next upside price objective is to produce a close above solid resistance at $1,850.00," Jim Wyckoff, a senior analyst at Kitco Inc, said in a daily research note.
Gold futures ranged from a low of $1,804.90 to a high of $1,831.10. They inched 0.2% higher on Tuesday and they shed 0.3% on Monday.
Silver for September delivery rose 13.1 cents, or 0.5%, to close at $26.271 an ounce. Silver futures traded between $26.01 and $26.55. They declined 0.4% on Tuesday and they edged up 0.02% on Monday.

October platinum added $16.90, or 1.5%, to $1,128.10 an ounce, ranging from $1,101 to $1,135.30.
- Palladium for September delivery fell $6.20, or 0.2%, to $2,826.30 an ounce, trading between $2,797 and $2,848.50.
US Mint Bullion Sales in 2021
The United States Mint published bullion sales gains of 3,000 ounces in American Gold Buffalos; 7,000 ounces in American Gold Eagles; and 177,000 ounces in American Silver Eagles.
