The latest United States Mint sales stats offer the first reported figures for 2021 Reverse Proof American Silver Eagle Two-Coin Set and the George H.W. Bush Coin & Chronicles Set.
Released Sept. 13 for $175, the 125,000 limited-edition 2021 Reverse Proof American Silver Eagle Two-Coin Set saw huge demand and a resulting bottle-necked ordering system immediately on its release. The set — even with its one limit per household — lasted for less than three hours when it became unavailable. U.S. Mint stats have its sales at 124,251.
A quick sell out wasn’t in the cards for the 35,000 limited-edition George H.W. Bush Coin & Chronicles Set. Released Sept. 17 for $120, the set was the Mint’s second best weekly seller with its three-day starting total of 7,103. The set’s price was an obstacle, some collectors opined. As a comparison, the prior set honoring Reagan was $68.95 and it scored sales of 21,511 in its first day.
Meanwhile, sales declined some for the recently released 2021-W Uncirculated American Silver Eagle. The individual option (product code 21EGN) shed 785 to 173,247. The 40-coin bulk option (product code 21EGN040) remained unchanged at 315 units for 12,600 coins. Sales of both combine to 185,847.

My reverse proof set & 2021 burnished are both confirmed & processing how come Mr. Mezack is on tv last night with hundreds of them. Something rotten in Denmark if you ask me

TheKings714,
I received the package shipped email for the reverse set yesterday, 21 Sep & my original order & acknowledgement came between 1220-1225pm EST (after trying since opening bell).
Just another data pt
Kaiser,
Keep hope alive. We’ve only got a cpl examples from what I’ve read & an hour after start is the earliest cancelation I’ve read about so far.
just got my shipping confirmation for the 2021-W Reverse Proof ASE Two Coin Designer Sets. Tracking shows will be here in a few days – Hopefully
Just another data point – My order was confirmed at 9:23 PT on the 13th and had been “Processing” ever since. Just now the status was changed to “Shipped”. I’ve been checking on status several times a day for the past few days.
Confirmation email arrived @ 12:20pm
My order was acknowledged at 12:45 PM EDT and has been shipped. I have a tracking number.
Anyone like conspiracy theories? You have 18 buddies, you have some of the best computer techs in the world, after all we have a government agency, every computer has an IP address, those 18 buddies need at least 1000 of a product, those 18 have 2500 associates each, 1 per household there has to be enough product sold to cover at least 18,000 distinct IP addresses, so let’s sell enough to cover them, of course it may take a little while to make sure they are shipped first and if we don’t have enough product we’ll cancel some orders. Good morning all,
I spent 20 minutes during the initial issue day and time before my order went thru, I received my your “Order has Shipped” email fro the Mint two days ago. My gf ordered a set 2 hours after the initial release time on the initial day of release, she too received her “Order has Shipped” email from the Mint.
As always ….best of luck to everyone and God bless.
I just checked my order and it also says, ‘Processing.’
So there is still some hope…
Mammoth,
I think the Mint processing/delivery system is running ‘covid scared’, based on the time it is taking to ship my third 2021 W Unc. ASE’s. They sent it to their carrier on Sept 18th for the shipping label and I’m still waiting for a delivery date to be posted! Hell, it may take another month before any of the Reverse Proofs ship . Home of the brave? Well, we can certainly cancel that line out of our National Anthem!
BTW Mammoth, I see that you are advertising on the Fox network. Are you the CEO of Mammothnation.com?
Kaiser, In the year 2021 ( that line sounds like it has the making of a hit song), one is never at ease when ordering from the Mint until you can touch that delivered package! Good for you, Kaiser. Unfortunately, this covid-induced chaos will persist until the 2nd half of 2023, according to many on CNBC and Fox Business. That’s assuming we don’t have a 3rd, 4th, and 5th variant hit us. Getting back to ‘never at ease’, let’s hope those reverse proofs change from ‘processing’ to ‘shipping’ real soon! I’ll be on edge until I know one way or… Read more »

Larry T.,
Nope, that’s me. I try to keep my business private…at least for now.

Sure it stinks and it is a matter of TRUST as well
A sad case for all of us even with a confirmed order I DO NOT trust the US Mint at all when called the reps outright LIE They told me “none have been sent out” yeah ok
My reverse proof is still processing. I received the burnished ASE within 5 days through an enrollment. Apparently there was no advance purchasing for the reverse proof. Do not know how Mezack gets first day of issue coins
Mike Mezack will always be there for ALL you “OLD LADIES” for a great “DEAL” UNDERSTAND !!!!!! Still the “KING” !!!!! ANACS>>>>>>>>> HURRY !!!!!
sam,
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand. Can you translate?
Will the real sam tweedy please stand up!!
Kaiser, I think calling this ‘hemorrhaging’ is a bit over the top. We need to understand that some time has passed since we battled for these beautiful coins. A lot of issues can, and do, crop up in individuals lives during this time period. Divorces, unexpected health issues, loss of jobs, marriage, bankruptcy, or a plethora of other factors will affect one’s ability to purchase for their hobby. As for me, I can’t wait to receive all of the Morgans and Peace Dollars I’ve ordered and certainly will not be canceling any of my orders! I would also love a… Read more »
Yeah – I would love to get 1 of the CC or O Morgans from the mint that I missed due to order crashes, but thats unrealistic. (Not to mention the designer set.)
Kaiser,
I disagree. IMHO, the privy-marked Morgans are every bit as authentic as any 2021 Peace or Morgan Silver Dollar.
Mammoth, the rich history behind the Carson City Mint, the Comstock Lode and the Morgan Silver Dollar is legendary. My top choice out the 2021 Morgan & Peace Silver Dollar 6-coin set is the Morgan CC privy mark. Just noticed at the end of this thread a post by gman1964 copied here – “PineHur$t just sent this email regarding the 2021 Morgan/Peace dollars: Pinehur$t will pay you: • $1,020 Per Set of All 6 Coins • Individually $180 Per Coin For 2021 CC Privy Mark Morgan Dollar • Individually $160 Per Coin For All Other 2021 Morgan Dollars • Individually… Read more »
Rich,
It figures that the one coin I didn’t get would be the most valuable, the CC Morgan! Oh well, I’ll just have to make do with the other 5 Morgan’s and Peace Dollars!
Kaiser, Don’t be a killjoy, lol. Obviously, I can only speak for myself, but I think the privy ones are necessary for the set. But, that’s my own world I live in. I hope the canceled orders are offered for sale again & that some who missed out might get another shot. I’m supposed to get 5 ea of the cc & o, because that was b4 the HOL went down to 3 for the rest. So, I’m supposed to get 3 complete sets. If I could trust someone online, which is ludicrous to me, I’d be willing to barter… Read more »
I’m right on the fence about that. Some days I couldnt care less I missed those, and some days I have more severe FOMO, on an incomplete set.
I liked the re-dos of these, but almost let them entirely slip by, since I’m primarily a proof / rev proof collector.
Since I’ve put a TON of $$$$ into Mint products this year (I had to plan since last year), the cash I “recovered” can get reallocated to other stuff I missed – on the 2ndary market (as is the case, by necessity).
Words of pure wisdom, Kaiser! I don’t have any 2021 Morgan CC’s, and even though I’m fortunate enough to pay whatever they ask on the secondary market, being without one disturbs me not the least. I got 5 out of 6, and that ain’t bad! Doesn’t that sound like a line from Meatloaf?
I agree with Kaiser Wilhelm here. If the mint had made privy marked Morgan’s in 1921 too, then I would call these legit (reluctantly), but I see the 2 privy marked coins as yet another modern era cash grab from the mint. They are really a P, D, S or W (I do not know which mint actually made them) fraudulently ( I am exaggerating a bit) marked as an O or CC to make people buy 2 more coins than they would have, in my opinion. If the mint really wanted to mint a CC or O Morgan they… Read more »
I submit (guess is that kind of day today) that if they were remiss with the CC and O, collectors would’ve been up in arms … “what about the CC and O mints?”. Those mints are no longer, so the best they could do, w/o rebooting those mints – too costly, is the privy means.
I mean, its there for those who care, and if you dont, … you dont. Let it slide. Everyone’s appeased. No?
Jeff, I guess I’m not the only one who was thinking that. I was wondering if they couldn’t fire up one of the original machines at the O and CC buildings and mint a few. I’ve never been to either mint, so I have no idea if there are any working machines left. Then again, even if they could perform that task, it would probably cost a fortune resulting in the coins costing…well stratospheric prices! I have several New Orleans and Carson City minted Morgans. They are some of my favorite coins(Rebel and Cowboy coins.) As to the first part… Read more »
What say you about some of the Morgans being referred to as “Tribute” coins oh wise one?

Kaiser, Hold on partner. I never stated that I was a CC or O ‘privy’ admirer. I would only state that for the ‘mint marked’ CC and O coins. To be honest, these privy marks look a bit cheesy to me but I wanted them none the less for one reason…people need them for a complete set of 2021 Morgan issues. I don’t think you need any rescuing on this thread. You are entitled to your statements and I, for one, find them to be reasoned and insightful and sprinkled with a bit of humor.God help us all if we… Read more »
Hahaha sam sparky, I mean tweedy. …
The O privy looks … like a man in a boat 😉 . They DO look a bit cheesy, maybe why I often dont care about them.
But … yeah, it does make a complete set.
All is good.
Sir Kaiser, along with the renewed sales decline of the 2021 Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars, the notable decline in sales of the recently released 2021-W Uncirculated American Silver Eagle, with a loss of 785, is a bit surprising considering all the hype surrounding the new type 2 design and the dawn of a new era for the iconic American Silver Eagle.
Rich and Kaiser, With both of these issues labeled as ‘Remind Me’, their sales figures can only go in one direction…down. We certainly know their sales have declined by a modest amount, but we don’t know the answer to the important question..why? Does anyone know why the Mint decided to have a ‘pre-order’ for the Morgans and Peace Dollars? I’ve never quite figured that debacle out. If it was some type of experiment in new age marketing, I’d say we’ve seen our last ‘pre-order’ from the Mint! And does it require a highly paid systems engineer to change the status… Read more »
Kaiser, Now that is confusing! We don’t know if the Mint is cancelling certain orders or if customers are cancelling their orders, for whatever reason. All I’m saying is put these cancelled orders back up for sale on the website. We’ll see whether they are still desirable to collectors or not! I’d bet they wouldn’t be for sale very long. Also, I wouldn’t put it past Mike Mezack and a few others to have some kind of evil alliance set up with the Mint so they can siphon off a few extra ‘products’ for air time. I’ve never been one… Read more »
Is it possible these cancelled orders were charged to credit cards which expired after the order date?
Sorry if I’m being repetitively annoying, but in my case it did not include my default CC info – due to the order interface glitches, so they said “nah”.
So it may be due to any variation of CC “trouble”.
Kaiser, We certainly know how corrupt, and frankly incompetent, the CIA has become. If the Mint is following their example, then we are screwed. I logged onto APMEX website to see if they were selling the 2021 Designer Edition Sets of Reverse Proof SAE’s. You can buy several sets, but they state shipping won’t commence until October, when they receive them. Now, in my twisted mind, I’m thinking have they already received them, sent them out for grading, and once they get those less than PR69, put them up for sale to us! If the Mint was interested in expediting… Read more »
I would not be at all surprised if they were farming these coins out to China or sourcing them from China. You would be surprised how many items are sent from Amurica to China for alterations and then sent back for sale. We hope Gatorade is not made in China but nobody can explain why there is no Gatorade on the shelves of our Grocery Stores. Let’s face it China kick our _ _ _ without firing a single shot and now they own us. Don’t be surprised to find out China makes apple pie and baseballs.
SENZA, I don’t know about the apple pie, but China is making most of the baseball bats and balls used in MLB. Another reason why I don’t care about baseball. In fact, the only baseball I watch is the Little League Worlds Series in August. That’s entertaining! But don’t worry about China too much, we’re importing our own future ‘cheap’ manufacturing force right now. It’s a policy called ‘open borders’ and soon we will no longer need China to produce anything! Just because you mentioned it I captured this image – there is another disturbing image I’m seeing frequently – why are so many of them wearing $650 Nike Jogging Suits and $500 collectible Nike shoes ? The same outfits drug dealers wear! I found 1 bottle of G2 on the shelf today – it’s almost as fun as trying to get a coin out of the US Mint. Thanks for filling in the blanks on all my questions. Sarcasm required and appreciated.
well lo and behold just 15 minutes ago I got the glorious ‘shipped’ email from the mint for my singular set.
I went to USPS.com to check on the tracking number of the shipment the mint sent me, but of course the USPS tracking service ‘is currently unavailable’.
par for the course
alas no I was one of the longish victims at about 25 minutes. if that’s ‘lucky’, i’d hate to see what unlucky was…
as for the tracking, it’s not that the tracking came back and said ‘currently unavailable’ for my package, but that the entire tracking system was down and I got no response from it whatsoever. however, it’s been a while now and as I have checked again it is in the usps system now and tracking shows up as ‘pre-shipment’. it’s progress.
My 2021-W silver eagles says shipped by the mint but according to the tracking number the USPS say they haven’t received it yet.
yes that is ‘normal’ – the label is created by the mint as they slap the sticker on your shipment box. then someone has to take all those boxes to the usps office, where they all get scanned. once scanned then it will update, unless of course usps drops the ball and doesn’t scan it.
The one I ordered still says “PROCESSING”, so I still have hope. If you ordered the 21EMN coin, American Eagle 2021 One Ounce Silver Proof Coin (S), it still shows “BACKORDERED”, and a phone call to the mint last week said these should ship in December, 2021. Can’t wait to get that one.
Good to know about the 2021-S Type-II. I have my 3 in backorder too. My call a while back was much less fruitful – if it changes, they’ll let me know. So December huh? Better late than cancelled.
My Designer Set order is sitting in PROCESSING on my acct, but it never took my (default) CC info. (grrrrr) I got a double email – 1 confirming, and 1 said “call us” from the Mint. I called, they said they couldnt update payment info on an order. (double grrrr)
I’m 99.9999% sure I got CANCELED on the designer set, due to the call I made and the reply. It still says processing in my acct, but w/o the CC info. I just think they havent gone back and “corrected” it … from their end. 😉
I did drop 6-bills+ to get a 69-graded NGC set from the Coin Vault. Other than the ’95W, its the only proof / rev proof ASE I wouldnt have – so had to complete it (well, sorta). Its better than $1k+ tho.
We’ll see if I get it – not until probably after Oct.
I do have that struck-by-lightning .0001% chance hope they’ll have mercy, or sense 😀 , and honor the order and “insert” my CC info. Its the same CC I’ve used for ALL other orders this year, and still use for groceries, gas, etc. It works fine. They just goofed, or their GUI flopped. But I’m NOT holding my breath, I’ve moved on.
Fear not Frank from PA has several sets he claims to have gotten directly from the US Mint for a slight 100% mark-up.
I just wish the mint would let me know now if my order has been cancelled, as I’d buy a coin on the secondary market, whilst they are only double.
A little earlier this year I paid an embarrassingly high amount for a 2019-S (19XE) Enhanced Reverse Proof Silver Eagle.
In 2019 at the time when I missed out, I scoffed at people on eBay selling them for double. Unfortunately they didn’t stop rising in value.
Daniel, I think you’d be better served by waiting a bit before buying any sets on the secondary market. Keep in mind that 125,000 sets were made, not 25,000 or 30,000. These sets are not, I repeat, are not rare! I certainly want my set and am hoping if it stays in the ‘Processing’ status until the beginning of October, I’ll get it (that’s when the non-gradable coins are returned!) But if I don’t, I’ll wait until Mike ‘this is the coin every SAE collector has to have in their collection’ Mezack moves onto the next must have, rarest of… Read more »
As of today I have heard nothing officially from the Mint and I have seen these on Feebay under the $300 as you know I would never endorse Feebay or flippers but the worst case scenario seems to be slightly improving
They told me mine shipped today – no over sale and no cancellations unless someone tried to order more than 1 or got more than one by no fault of their own because of the faulty ordering system in which case the extra coin(s) will be cancelled but everyone who placed an or will get the 1 set they are entitled too – please let me know if this information is not accurate or changes but this is what I was told moments ago
Senza,
That’s good to know. Thanks for sharing that piece of information! I’ve thought all along that these sets would be delivered, just at a much slower rate, due to the disruption in the delivery chain (covid). Hope yours arrives soon!
My vision of the Feebay and US Mint is one of collusion, robbery and all things feared by mankind or YES
Whoa! Well shet mah mayowth!!! (pardon the norther drawl) 😉 Thank you for contacting the United States Mint regarding order number blahbityblahblah. We regret the delayed response. Our records indicate your order blahbityblahblah was successfully placed and is currently processing. Once it ships, you will receive an email with your tracking information. I know.
But this was welcome news, and they DID place my CC info in my order (which was not there before) – from the email I sent and NOT the phone call I made.
But you are right – always prepare for the worst.
This looks like – opposite day, where they corrected an error. *gasp*
I’m sorry, what??!?
The 2021-S Proof ASE’s aren’t shipping till December???
I don’t recall that being part of the terms of sale. https://catalog.usmint.gov/american-eagle-2021-one-ounce-silver-proof-coin-21EMN.html?cgid=silver-dollars#start=1
This is reminiscent of back in 2016 when Tesla raised $276m in two days on preorder deposits for Model 3’s … which they had no ideas how they would make in time, nor have a forecast date of delivery.
I’m not so fortunate.
My reverse proof set arrived at my home Sept 16th. No subscription. I did choose expedited shipping with adult signature. Maybe that helped? I hope you get yours soon.
Kaiser,
That old saying, ‘if their lips are moving, they’re lying,’ used to be a bit funny, but know is simply the truth. Label me as cynical, but I just don’t believe anything I hear from people (particularly those in government or unions) until I do further ‘digging, like a dog after a buried bone!’ Same goes for social and print media. What is particularly discerning to me is how Americans today simply don’t care about being lied to. There is no accountability in todays society, which will result in a breakdown of law. Seeing any of that lately?
Kaiser,
Thanks for the well reasoned and insightful response. There is another saying that concerns me ‘History always repeats itself.’ Nothing lasts forever, even the universe, but I’m just amazed at the speed in which our country has become fractured in so many ways. I’m certainly hoping we humans can rectify things in an orderly fashion, but who knows. I must admit after reading your response I’m leaning to the ‘pessimistic’ side. Thanks for that, Kaiser!
Sir Kaiser and Larry T, your musings brought to mind this famous quote by George Santayana (1905), “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
It only takes a generation. Teach your kids.
Thanks Kaiser. Just telling the truth would be so much easier for their customers to handle.

Hi Kaiser ,
Sounds like you’re sure the mint has cancelled orders , I put my order in at 1:20 and it’s still showing processing.
Same here but they did refund my payment – no cancellation email yet – I had the coin in my cart in the first minute but did not get a completed sale until well after 1pm. I went to the US Mint twitter feed and it said the first orders were just coming in around 1pm and to keep trying.
The US Mint now has answers for outraged buyers = Blame everything on COVID
Here is the actual tweet notice it’s time stamp is 1:19 p.m. I think this speaks somewhat for itself
The tweet almost implies that the early orders didn’t get processed and the later orders did – just my 2 cents worth

My order was excepted at 12:25 and I was notified today 9/23 at 4:23 that it was shipped. I worked for a very large shipping company for over 40 years not UPSP. To save pickup shipping charges , the company’s (The Mint) will load there own trailers until full and deliver them to the post office. The delays come from that process, then waiting for the USPS to unloaded and scanned the package to confirm shipment date. Time in transit depends on distance from the Mint.
Good to know. I wish the US Mint would tell customers that instead of us not knowing what’s going on.
My Reverse Proof set order was excepted at 12:25 and I received notification today 9/23 at 4:33 pm that the set shipped.

The limited number of products available coupled with absurdly high prices makes for a barrier to entry for young and new collectors. While it appears the mint did confirm my purchase with an email the 21XJ set sits in “processing” I still have a very real fear of not getting what I ordered. I see sets on ebay sets on TV coin shows but what I ordered NOTHING It is now 9/24 and the time spent is wasted?
Guess i will throw my 2 cents in at this point. I spent an hour and 11 minutes trying to get my order to go through….My reverse set was acknowledged at 10:11a pacific time. I got my confirmation at 2:28p pacific time. Order is still showing processing. I do have to wonder if the mint is taking any consideration with those of us that have pre existing accounts and those that bought as guest.

There is a new Boss at the US Mint let’s hope the first order of business is to halt all new production until all past orders are filled as soon as possible and the very illegal advance-pay-scheme goes away and a best case scenario would be if the delaers and graders went away too.
What is the “advance-pay-scheme”?
Do you mean pre-Orders where you are not charged until the coins are shipped?
Or do you refer to something else?
Any pre-order, any order you are charged, partially charged, charged for shipping and or charged and temporarily refunded and the product has not been shipped to you with 24 hours of that charge. The Government puts civilians in prison for this activity daily but when the US Mint does it nothing happens until we speak up then the director gets canned and hopefully they don’t think this is an acceptable fix since so much more is still broken at the US Mint. These are tactics used by dealers ,graders and other criminals born of the Plandemic and the US Mint… Read more »

I’ve always been a long term holders of stock and it has served me well (and yes I have had a few go south in a big way.) I don’t think I’ll ever see banks pay us 8-10%, for holding our money, because the service fee on our nations growing debt would rise to over $1T per year. The Fed will never let that happen, at least not with a democrat… Read more »
Yes I enjoyed Day Trading now all I can do is sit back and watch all my investments go up with the tide because of the FED.
Unfortunately, that’s all our Government and Politicians are doing too – watching their 401k’s on their iphone instead of doing their jobs.
Yes, I got the same message on the automated system then I called the Mint and a representative told me the same thing. However, I have not received an email confirmation of this information.
I guess you could say I was “Into it” Day Trading but I don’t know what would give you that idea
We have the right to pursue happiness while others are guaranteed such = The American Ponzi Scheme. Now that the Government has the FED print their paychecks instead of collecting taxes to to pay themselves – maybe they can start doing things right?????
For the record I often mention “Government Pay” and just want to emphasize “Government Pay” and “Military Pay” are 2 completely different things in my World not mentioning any names = sam tweedy
And I almost for the the big one = SELLING PRODUCTS THAT DO NOT EXIST
Kaiser,
What? Are you saying I’m not going to get the $3.5 million dollars from my generous Nigerian ‘relative?’ I wired them $15,000 to cover the legal fees and a portion of the taxes!
I think they call it ‘trumps” now instead of “grifts” oh yeah, same thing…..
I have been billed for several of my coins in fact the 2 coin set is the only item that I was billed for then credited back – I was billed for all of the Morgans I ordered and the San Francisco – I surely can’t be the only one? none of these coins shipped yet and just the idea of the US Mint selling these coins they do not have in hand is unacceptable to me – there simply is no excuse for this – kudos to those who are not bothered by it but I’m outraged.
Which credit card do you use? Maybe it’s your bank’s fault.
All I am asking is for the US Mint not to sell products they don’t have in their hands ready for shipment. This blog is so forgiving it makes it challenging to be a hater.
They offer over night shipping and charge a premium for products they don’t have in stock for months.
Who pays for overnight shipping on an item that won’t be in stock for 4 months?
SENZA,
All of the coins I buy are shown on my CC as a ‘pending’ charge immediately once I order them from the Mint. If the coins aren’t shipped within a few days, the ‘pending’ charge disappears and isn’t shown as a ‘charged’ item until they do indeed ship. You might want to think about changing your CC carrier/company! But don’t do that UNTIL all of your ordered coins have been shipped and delivered! You don’t want to give the Mint any reason to cancel them!
I use my Brokerage Account for convenience and your correct it does differ from a Bank, Credit Card and least of all a Credit Union. However, up until the Morgan Dollar issue I had the same experience as you – cash out – cash back in – cash out – notice of shipment. Only with the Morgans, Peace and (S) Eagle has this not been the case. I think every time Ryder got away with one indiscretion he committed another and another. Don’t be surprised to soon find out there is much bigger trouble behind the scenes at the US… Read more »
SENZA, I certainly hope your gut feeling about the Mint turns out to be wrong. Having said that, I’m like you, I don’t trust government entities at all. They have become corrupt, incompetent, lazy, and entitled. By the way, can we come up with a few more national holidays so these ‘hard working’ folks can have more paid time off! How about ‘National Tomato Day’ or ‘Transgender Birthing People Day?’ Anyway, I hope the Mint isn’t employing Bidens favorite strategy these days, ‘lie like Hell’, and hope no one bothers to dig into the lies. I’m going to give them… Read more »
9/25 6:05 AM Email from mint I opened it they said congratulations on your purchase. wise choice and then proceeded to try to sell me more coins. I still hold a slight but fading hope
The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
Just to add some more data to your table, I got my order received email at 12:48 and just got my shipped notification today.
I look at my order page correct cc info confirmed order by email I wonder this far along can the hand of the mint crush me like a bug. Processing still which means NO closer to my hands. No amount of calls or email will ever give just basic facts. Here it is Oct 1st and a new proof coin set will be on sale at Noon do I really want more pain do I need this
Wall Street and it’s cheer leading media arrogantly and rhetorically asked what it would take to shake the “Teflon” Stock Market. Besides magnesium (the only enemy to Teflon in the Universe) I believe a much simpler catalyst exist and could easily send Wall Street tumbling; Answer: A scandal at the US Mint……. I say something much bigger is still going on at the US Mint and the Director isn’t departing just because of a few late shipments or website glitches. Has anyone bothered to think past first base? Who verifies the the US Mint is using real silver and gold… Read more »
As previously stated I advocate a complete do-over from top to bottom – no need to take names – just walk every single one of them out and replace every single one of them. Any more questions!!! And I mean that in the kindest way…..
Hope the News out of the US Mint tomorrow is what we have all been waiting for so we can shift thought to enjoying the kick off of the Holiday Season. I like Halloween Silver Rounds and Bars – I wonder what a Mighty Minters Halloween Silver Round would look like = sarcasm.
Third consecutive day the US Mint has told me my 2 coin reverse proof set “will ship today” yet it has not shipped.
Is it possible sleepy Joe has already idled the US Mint in preparation of the possible Government shut down?
What can one do when the Government repeatedly lies to your face?
Call Roto-Rooter.
Great idea but I’m on the phone with Jake from State farm right now.
SENZA The mint’s automated system always tell you that it is shipping tomorrow. As Annie says “Tomorrow, Tomorrow, there’s always tomorrow. It’s only a day a way”. Keep your chin up. My daughter’s order shipped Monday the 27th. She got her order received email at exactly 4 seconds before 1 PM eastern time. Her order number was right around 11517250. I got my email at 1:20 PM and as of today, Tuesday, 9/28 at 1:20 PM, mine did not ship yet. My order is 76,436 orders after hers. That is how many orders were taken in 20 minutes after the… Read more »
My order was confirmed right after the US Mint tweet at 1:19 p.m. 1154xxxx it just popped up on my screen even though I actually hit the Order button 40 minutes before that – so we now have confirmation that the automatic system at the US Mint does not work and we know that the Representatives at the US Mint lie to our faces and the Director has resigned in shame Hmm. Sounds like some real ClusterGov can’t wait to see how all this plays out. Be careful of blinky things in future US Mint emails.
The Mint Director did resign last Friday.
Welcome to the Party Antonio
I remember someone telling me they had to take classes before they could get married because the divorce rate in the County they lived was 86% in yeaar 1. So, basically people just got married to post it to Facebook then went to starbucks to get a divorce and post it to Facebook and then started all over again
For Kaiser’s records. Had an odd one today /// Got one shipping notification for a reverse proof set of the 5 I know about. It wasn’t the order placed first which was shipped. (Oh, and date format is in the correct format – deal with it yanks). Daniel,
It is only the correct time format if you can tell me for a fact, what came first, the chicken or the egg?
Why did the chicken cross the street?
Because she didn’t want to lay an egg at home if she didn’t get her 2 coin silver set from the mint.
Lol
Noticed this Halloween piece think it can double as boat anchor…
Just got an email from the Australian Mint today. They have a limited edition coin about to launch (1,000 mintage), and what they do for these sorts of things, is run a ballot. They have a members group, which is free to join for people who make purchases – to help reduce abuse, you need a phone number attached to the account. You get one entry into the ballot by clicking the link (see picture) … though it can get pricey. In this instance, the coin is $530 USD for a 1/5 oz Gold Proof Coin. It’s certainly not infallible… Read more »
It’s good to be at the top of the food chain – Governments are Ponzi schemes no matter how they spin it or in this case “ballot” it. The few prosper by taking advantage of the many.
I just talked with a Mint customer representative, and she told me my order was in the ‘pending’ phase, which means it’s close to being picked from the supply in stock, and packaged. To all who called into the mint and got that automated ‘your order is currently being packaged and will ship later today’ bullsh*t message, disregard it. We will probably get the shipping e-mails sometime this week, as the Mints workforce, or whatever you want to call it, is running Covid scared. I must admit, their customer reps are just like most in government…programmed and scripted! Talking with… Read more »
Mine still shows as “processing”. Hoping for the best.
Mark,
My set shipped today. If yours haven’t shipped yet I’ll bet they will later this week.
I spoke with a representative this morning and they have no idea when my coins will be shipped. Everything is blamed on Covid. How did Mezack , Coin Vault and PineHurst get coins on FDOI Good luck, we will need it
Richard,
The automated call always says they will ship tomorrow. The reps you talk to aren’t much better. My daughter’s shipped on the 27th. If it helps you, her order was in at 1:00 PM and the order number was at about 11517200. I can also tell you mine did not ship yet and I got mine at 1:20 PM. 76,436 orders were received between mine and hers.
Kaiser,
No Problem. I got my notice of shipped at 12:00 AM on September 30th. I got my order in at 1:20 PM eastern on September 13th. The mint is sending them out in the order of the order numbers. My number is between 11593600 and 11593700. Hope you and the rest of us collectors get theirs. They processed about 76,000 orders between 4:00 PM on the 27th and 12:00AM this morning. (9/30/21)
Kaiser,
I just checked my daughter’s tracking number. It was sent to the USPS at 12:00 AM on the 27th. As of today (9/30/21) it still says it is on its way to the USPS. 3 days in limbo so far. They may say shipped but we probably won’t get them for at least 7 to 10 days from the time the mint sends them to the post office and your order history is marked as shipped. There are delays at every step in the process.
It’s called Corruption
My ASE W finally arrived yesterday, two months after I ordered it. Patience seems to be the word here.
WoW This Stinks – The entire US Government now runs off Trump standards Lie, Cheat, Steal and Lie some more….. Disclaimer: I wouldn’t vote for either one of these Turds. The US Mint is obviously imploding, there is obviously a major cover up taking place at the US Mint and we are not on the “Important enough to be told the truth” list.
SENZA. I’m always amazed at those who want to blame Trump for all that is evil. ‘Trump standards Lie, Cheat, and Steal?’ Didn’t Obama state that ObamaCare (talk about a fuc*ing narcissist) wouldn’t add a dime to our national debt? Oh, right, he didn’t actually lie as it added trillions of dimes to the debt, not just one. Bush, with his ‘flower of democracy’ and ‘mission accomplished’ on Iraq and Afghanistan. Clinton, with his ‘I didn’t have sex with that woman’…all lies! If you really want to impress us, show one of these ‘leaders’ that tell the truth. Lie, Cheat,… Read more »
I think we are in agreement Larry but you might want to take an aspirin and read my disclaimer above. Trump ruined it for himself when he tried to defund Social Security and that was all she wrote……………………….well not quite Trump did appoint Ryder to the Mint and recommend everyone inject bleach how did that work out for you? As far as Obamacare I have been on both sides and it’s a dual edged sword, we all know it created the Opiod crisis, made billions for pharmacy and made Obama and Biden the most lobbied Politicians in history. I’m not… Read more »
Senza, Where in hell did you hear Trump wanted to defund SS? That a new one for me. No one is going to touch SS, it’s the proverbial 3rd rail of politics, for God’s sake! As far as Trumps rants, and his attempt at humor (the bleach injection), I’ve always said/thought he should’ve stuck to the policies he put in place and back off all of his tweeting and camera time. He constantly fed the liberal media ‘talking points’ which they would run endlessly. I often thought he did it intentionally. Anyway, enough time spent on those bozos. As far… Read more »
I was speculating about the Mint shutting down on the Debt issue but I have no valid sources to quote.
Like you said, I normally avoid the silver proof sets however I would like to have one of the Washington quarters in silver not sure how to pull that off yet.
Martini is always a winner in my book and the best advice I have heard all day Cheers.
P.S. I really thought your question about Trump ending Social Security was rhetorical and/or a joke but I have been informed by many here that you really don’t know – which is unfortunately so prominent with all Trumpsters.
Trump paused Payroll Taxes – Payroll Taxes Fund Social Security – when it was time to resume payroll taxes Trump floated the idea of eliminating payroll taxes then took it a step further and pledged to eliminate payroll taxes if re-elected and the rest is history – the people have spoken – don’t play with Social Security – you won’t get elected.
As previously stated: It’s time for the US Mint to close the doors, drop the flag of shame and get a civilian in there to clean house, kick ass and start over from scratch because this experiment did not work.
Reverse proof set in bag and checked out just over an hour into the fiasco, order was shipped today (pre-shipment, USPS awaiting item). Everyone that was confirmed will get their coins, but if you have payment issues the bet is NO.
Note this day in History – On this boring day the US Mint FAILED the American people and the American Collector. Representatives of the Mint fall into denial and lie to the American People while the US Mint automated system plays like a haunted broken record stating incorrectly “your order shipped today”.
Order submitted 1:10pm. Got shipping notice at 4:30pm today
Thanks Dtown
5:34 p.m. US Mint sent me a text saying my order is on it’s way and provided a tracking number but make no mistake the thrill is gone and the damage is done US Mint still has a serious problem(s).
At the time of this message there are 1,167 of these listed on ebay, many of the flippers claim to have 3 or more and many claim to already have them in-hand.
Might I suggest that you are wound too tight. Try decaf or calming tea, make a Ryder dart board, get a new credit card, take a walk, go on vacation, stop smoking, start drinking. Some guys say that crying works, or swearing, kicking the cat (a dog would be bad – man’s best friend you know), buy flowers for wife, mow the lawn, etc.
A lot of cowards get thru life like that – I never considered it and never will – glad it works for you though.
P.S.
I think this is an information sharing Blog not a suggestion box
Best Regards
Just suggesting better use of your time than harassing USMint staff. I am sure they all put you on hold about now and giggle, “It’s him again… tell him we shipped it”.
ohh and before we start calling people cowards, and before we start calling you less than smart, it did take us to problem solve and troubleshoot your CC issue. So how is that for being a coward. Just telling it like it is pal.
Why didn’t you just say you were a US Mint staff from the start? I would love to hear your explanation of what’s going on.
Are you the representative who lied to me 3 days in a row? If not I don’t have any beef with you.
It sounds like you are admitting to the Credit Card issue – I’m glad to hear someone from the US Mint is admitting there is a problem.
So, is that what all US Mint staff believe – that all coin collector’s are less than smart?
Best Regards
I used to be the front line support for an Internet company back in the mid 90s. That was hard work, dealing with people’s internet issues back in Windows 3.11 days. Trumpet Winsock … kill me now. Anyway … we used to put people on “hold”, but it was actually just mute, so we could still hear them. Some people were crazy angry and thinking they were on hold, would rant and rave to people in their house. If I heard someone more reasonable in the background, I’d ask for them to be put on. You’ve got no idea how… Read more »

Funny you should ask because i was wondering how you got hold of my High School photo
Tracking says I will have this on or before Monday – holding out hope but not holding my breath
I wish I had noted the time my order finally broke the veil and I got to order. I know it was beyond 12:30. After a few days order went from processing to shipped which means all they have done is create a shipping label with a tracking number. So 10/1
begins a new wait when will they affix said label and mail the package. Until the coins are in hand I have nothing
I just received my 2-coin REV PR ASE set and I’m very disappointed by the Cheap-A$$ packaging by the mint. Both coins were dislodged from their indent holders in the package. Both capsules were floating loosely in the package and both had broken capsules and there particles of broken plastic inside the capsules and on the coins. My bad, for believing that after years of the mint belly-aching about too much consumer demand, can’t get planchets, bla, bla, bla…that I would still continue to get a quality product. Shoulda known that ultimately the quality of products and the packaging, and… Read more »
I totally agree, Uncle Sams Nephew. I watched some YouTube videos on these coins and was a bit concerned about the condition of the box and coins.
When I removed the US Mint box from my mailbox, the box looked “tampered with.” Went inside and opened the box; both coins were floating in the box; thank goodness both the capsules and coins were fine. Beautiful coins.
The presentation though looks cheap, and is cheap. Very disappointing.
Mine came the same way, loose, chipped capsules. Makes me wonder if these were returned from the pre-buyers for failing to get a RP70 grade.
I guess we can say for certain this is one of those US Mint special dealers “2 Sold more than 10 available”
If the mint is using laser stippling on the dies to frosted areas, would that mean each die is unique?
