A few weeks back the U.S. Mint dropped sales totals for their privy-marked 2021 Morgan Silver Dollars by nearly 4,800 each. Their latest sales data shows another series of sharp declines but this time for a different pair of silver dollars.
The Denver Mint-struck 2021-D Morgan dropped 4,384 to 168,226 and the San Francisco Mint-produced 2021-S Morgan fell 4,189 to 168,719. Released Aug. 3, each has a product limit of 175,000.
The other three Morgan dollars and the single Peace dollar declined again as well, but more modestly. Their losses ranged from 71 to 262.

Furthermore, as many have noticed there was a lot of quality issues, and returns are only refunded – not exchanged – and those coins returned will be melted. Finally, the coins failed to… Read more »
I, for one, am happy with my purchase. My only regret is not buying more of the Peace dollars. They’re my precious. 🙂
Antonio, with you on that. I too am a happy camper. I’m just pissed off for all the other real collectors who were disappointed and got jerked around by this goat rope
Here! Here!
I have a very nice 1922 and my 2021. I only wanted two more of the 2021s. I’m holding out hope for the 2022-S. Proofs at that! Then on to my real quest, all the other Peace dollars from 1921 to 1935. Finding good strikes is a real quest.
Antonio, on your quest for Peace spanning 1921 through 1935 (minus the dirty thirties years of 1929 to 1933), you might consider MS-64s as a good strike break point. The low relief MS-64s for 1922-1925 are about $100, for 1926 about $300, 1927 about $600, and 1928 about $950, then 1934-1935 run around $375-$450. The show stopper, key date will be the 1921 High Relief which go for about $2,500 in MS-64. Good luck finding all the Peace you can.
A couple years ago I noticed over a 4,000 sales drop on a coin I was unable to purchase on first day because they were out. So I sent customer service a note asking why. Could it be returns from authorized dealers or indiviual customers, or an accounting error or some other reason. And if they actually had additional coins, I wanted to purchase one.Their answer was unaceptable and asked that my question be given to a “higher up”. That person responded with similar jibberish. So, I gave up…the coin never became available again to the public. A guess these… Read more »
So, the final mintage tally will remain low while in reality the actual numbers are higher, thereby ensuring a higher price on these “scarce” coins. I’m not buying it. Seriously, I don’t buy from those bulk and TV sellers.
Antonio,
They are liars about the total numbers just imagine how many thousands or millions of coins are produced for the dealers above and beyond the 175,000 or so available to us schmucks – this is fraud on a massive scale and when the people stand up and speak out all we get out of it is a voluntary resignation with no admission of guilt and the sham rolls on.
Frank, the thugs just could not unload them on Feebay so they returned the coins to their partners-in-crime the US Mint and the Mint melted them down for future shams. If the US Mint were to have sold you one of those coins their scam would be exposed and the fake scarcity would evaporate and we can’t have that now can we……..
P.S.
Did you check Scamazon
If only Ryder could deliver them
Most excellent Holiday image Sir Kaiser and for your viewing pleasure here are two guys talking about coins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07UiCJ5l8-U
It’s all about the “FOMO” during the first minutes the coins sell out at the Mint the frenzy starts on Feebay and the best flipper prices are achieved then it’s down hill from there. Another issue is these flippers are not seasoned collectors and they know they are selling the coins so they take no care in how they handle them for example: taking the coins out of the capsule and touching them before they unload them on poor collector’s who didn’t get one from the US Mint. Even some of the most experienced collector’s I know believe that it’s… Read more »
Gee, makes you wonder why Rick Tomaska is still selling a full set of 6 of these babies in MS70 for $2,695. Plus S&H of course.
Because he is the self-titled Cameo King – I cut the cords and have not seen his show in a long time but it’s comforting to know I have missed nothing……..
It’s the hour of nonsensical ramblings that put viewers in a trance. These guys can talk for days and never say a word but I have to admit I like the ramblings of James Gerstel and would listen from start to finish even though I knew at the end there would be sticker shock.
There he is………………………………….
ouch
I guess these 2021 D & S Morgans are still part of the 12,900 and 15,000 Morgans Lost In Space. (For reference: The Mint had stated that 12,900 of the orders for Morgan and Peace dollars have been held up for delivery until the Mint determines if the orders are legitimate or are fraudulent attempts. Additionally, the Mint required another 15,000 customers to call the order fulfillment center when problems arose with expired credit cards or changed delivery addresses after orders were placed.)
Excellent points, Sir Kaiser, the Mint may be in a fog. And just for a little perspective to put things into context, as of this latest US Mint Sales Report, out of the total production mintage limit of 1,075,000 for all six Morgan & Peace Dollars, the combined total sales have dropped by 41,873 coins (a decline of almost 4%, i.e., 3.9%). The Mint’s claim of the 15,000 suspect orders and the 12,900 problem orders, totaling 27,900 orders could conceivably add up to 41,873 coins assuming some of the 27,900 orders were for more than one coin (since there was… Read more »
Someday, while doing renovations at the Mint, some 41,873 silver Morgan and Peace dollars are found by workmen inside a wall, as happened at the New Orleans Mint some years ago.
For the record, that’s not where Hoffa is………………………..
Hmm, what a quandary. Maybe some silver dollars got caught up with this scheme?
Be that as it may, I hope one of the CC Morgan’s become available for me to purchase.

Funny the US Mint isn’t mentioned but this is petty did you see what Joel Osteen’s tae is?
After plumbers find $600,000.00 in wall behind toilet at Joel Osteen Church it’s later determined that the $600,000.00 was donations from just 2 days in 2014.
Yep, saw the news about that hucksters missing funds. Plumber ended up getting a reward for the discovery of the funds.
Osteen lives in the richest part of Houston, Roier Oaks and drives a Lamborghini – “praise the Lord and pass your donations to me so I can enjoy life!”
It’s funny how enough is never enough for these greedy ones.
And now the 2021 Peace Dollar is not a Peace Dollar but it’s a “High Relief Peace Dollar”
The Mint says it’s not high relief. PCGS says it’s not high relief. But NGC says it is high relief. I just want to say, what a relief!
I am reliefed to hear that
Did you see Keith Richards fall down on stage? Flat on his face – slow to get back up – Mick is pissed he wants to know who in the audience did that to Keith – Keith gets up and says I tripped over my own feet and the triple bourbons on the plane had nothing to do with it but he got what he needed
Rolling Stones prepare for Steel Wheelchairs Tour
More huckster marketing – NGC, Osteen, etc. 🙁
I’m reliefed to know that. lol.
Like my cup of coffee in the morning. Why, oh why, can’t I switch to tea?
I drink Tea every day with half and half and plenty of sugar but you could always join the super rich who inject among other things the Blood of teenage virgins because they believe it will reverse the aging process – I think they call them Waculas…
Dang I hate my fat fingers, that’s “River Oaks,” not Roier Oaks.
But that’s not as scary as you responding to yourself like Sir Kaiser LOL
Doesn’t bother me at all doing that Senza.
You only have few minutes to edit. Then again, most folks don’t even care what most expensive neighborhood is on Houston.
I understood your message – it didn’t change the greed meter and i hope as more of this is exposed that the sheep can transform into wolves and finish what Trumpy started at the Whitehouse
Gordon Gekko likes greed – “greed is good” (from movie Wall Street) 😉 😉 😉
I am familiar with the movie
Charlie before
Charlie after
I couldn’t find a meter that was pegged to 110% which is more what were dealing with but have you ever noticed that almost every American Greed episode has a Trump connection notably the Russians who ran the Medicaid scam
I actually used to get his daily email messages but he never stopped asking for handouts and $300k a day I had no idea – he doesn’t need my handouts
Kaiser —
I actually enjoy watching the first minute of Osteen’s show for the Joke of the Day ….
— Mike
A nun and a frog cross the street – please put $200.00 in the donation basket LOL
The nun gets to go to Heaven and the Frog enters a cricket bar now put $200.00 in the basket…………
My jaw dropped Kaiser when I saw that picture. Glad to see folks opened the news link to see too.
Yepperdoodle$ 😉
Although, they did make that hoard purchase before silver price increases. Maybe they ended up getting caught trying to sell that hoard when silver prices rose? 😉
Remember there were allegedly counterfeits of these. Maybe some real ones were sent to China and they just liked the others better so are returning the inferior real ones. Accountability, truth and facts have sadly disappeared in the USA.
That’s the coin industry jumping to conclusions as reported on Sept. 09 2021 by Coinworld using the lead word “Suspected” I don’t know of a single fake that was found or proven and believe some coin reporters got ahead of themselves and forgot that these coins were being listed on Feebay the same day they went on sale at the Mint. It also leads back to the dealer road as many of the ads on Feebay were dealers at least with the first release Morgan CC then later when the public became outraged I noticed the normally in-your-face dealers were… Read more »
It’s my curse……………..I know no other way yet I am not John Wayne
Until you join the Secret Ryder Association you will never know however, since the average Joe has 7 days to return his coins these numbers are all the secret Dealer-Grader-Flipper aka Us Mint street-level flunkies returning the stew they couldn’t peddle.
I’ve been looking for that one.
NICEEEEEE 😉
Sure!
The end of 2021 give 2 months of downtime to the US Mint do you think they are using this time wisely and stamping out the first 6 months of 2022 coins or do you think they have better things to do
I’ll politely agree to disagree
I am tired of the mint messing with the collectors of the US.
#MeToo. The messing really got started in earnest in 2019, and has worsened each year through 2021; 3 years straight of messing with us.
I have had coins lifted out of my cart dating back to 2015 – remember when we thought the red velvet case were cheap and now we have paper – the rich have been sticking to everyone else on turbo since Trump but Biden and Obama are a close 2nd with opiodcare, punishing savers and killing Gold.
SENZA, as W. C. Fields once said, “Hell, I never vote for anybody, I always vote against.”
I seen that – some can’t even write their own names but they supported Trump and now they have no food stamps
Biden definitely has blood on his hands our men and women warriors were sabotaged by a geriatric turd and the media’s cover up to make Biden look less pathetic denied those men and women warriors the recognition they deserved for cleaning up his mess that turned into the biggest military operation in the history of the military.
Spot-on, Sir Kaiser. Indeed that infamous release of the 2019-S Enhanced Reverse Proof ASE was when my struggle with Mint began. The ignominious defeat we suffered at the hands of the Mint that day was only to be topped a year later with the release of the 2020-W End of World War II 75th Anniversary American Eagle Gold Proof Coin. All the Mint’s assorted “Dirty Deeds” from 2019 and 2020 cascaded into 2021. You have to wonder, what will next year bring…
Thank goodness I was lucky enough to get both the WWII 75th Anniversary Silver Dollar with privy mark and the WWII Silver Medal (medal not as hard to procure). Mindful there was also a surge in silver prices bringing in traders and lot of the Reddit meme stock followers joined the bandwagon to buyout the US Mint silver products too. Both of these crowds used bots to their fullest. Mint raised prices for their precious metals substantially under the silver market price guise as well. Wonder since silver prices receding if Mint will lower prices? (Mint also ridiculously and grossly… Read more »
I confess to grabbing those first privy coins with no interest other than flipping them on Feebay
The foreign Mints which I previously mentioned have interesting comments from collector’s and the primary sentiment is they are Fed up with War coins and reminders of War as well as the re-writing of history that seems to accompany any such topic. As one purchaser wrote ” I sent my coin back I’m fed up with War and negativity and the constant reminders can’t these Mints put put anything positive and spiritually uplifting” it does seem that the sheep ever so slowly, are waking up.
Wars like The Great War and WWII countries enlisted their full population for troops, war materiel manufacturing and agricultural products to support the effort. Governments will always make commemorative coins/medals as those two events brought the nation together.
If the Mints stop the war commemoratives then they’ll possibly start producing coins for events like this SARS-CoV-2 pandemic 🙁
$$$ – good going. At some point you have to sell or give away your collection. Unless you want it buried with you 😮 😉
Yep, got lucky. I collect a few medals both silver and copper.
Mayflower is nice. Who knows how much longer US Government will celebrate Mayflower, Mayflower Compact and Christopher Colombos (or as we now wrote and say Columbus) since all this wokeness goings on now?
You had to wake up earlier than lunch for that one Kaiser.
Yowza indeed
Just look at the new boxes were already
As a famous NY mayoral candidate would of said, “Silver Dollars are too god damn high!”
I miss the days when a silver dollar was worth a dollar.
Yepperdoodles 😉
Right on Bro
I am tired of the mint going woke, which I believe is a big turn off to US collectors.
Just what I would expect from FViia
When the mint stops making the X-mas ornaments then you will know. It seems with the focus groups this year that the mint was just interested in narrowing down their 2022 list for what to make. Too bad, as I gave them a list of what they could make (Geronimo, Red Cloud, Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull, Buffalo Bill, Calamity Jane, Wild Bill Hickok, Annie Oakley, and Wyatt Earp; Mines: Sutter’s Mill, Mormon, Bidwell’s Bar, Weber’s Creek, Mariposa, and Comstock, and many more; stories of the Wild West, Mining Tools / Guns, Landmark Scenes, etc.). The idea was to plant seeds… Read more »
FViia, I think your American Western Frontier idea and themes for future Mint products is Sierra Hotel, and would be a Bonanza for the Mint. For a California Gold Rush gold coin, we are approaching the 175th Anniversary of The California Gold Rush, sparked by the discovery of gold nuggets in the Sacramento Valley in early 1848, and arguably one of the most significant events to shape American history during the first half of the 19th century. For a Comstock Lode – Carson City Mint silver coin, we just past the approximate 150th Anniversary of The Carson City Mint, established… Read more »
All I heard you say was “Woke” and it rated a pile.
As for the Frontier coins – I think your on to something – as I said in a previous statement the world doesn’t want anymore Wars or War coins – as far as the children go it’s an honorable thought but I still believe the industry is too corrupt for children hopefully someday that will change but not holding my breath.
This seems to be what all the fake leaders want – what planet are they really from? How can we send them back to Uranus
If you complain on their surveys enough they will send you a personal survey and that’s the only way you can get your ideas implemented as I don’t think bribing Ryder works anymore.
…and totalitarian Social Justice Warriors (aka Snowflakes).
No More Snow Flakes
My happy place is somewhat different from yours
All I know is that a photo of a grown man slapping the ass of a young boy was posted and remains posted – I responded with a tasteful photo of a young beautiful female requesting a slap on the ass and that photo was removed – I’m now have a very bad feeling about this Blog
Yeah, what’s up with that?
Hey Rich, I don’t know what’s up with that but it’s troubling and I don’t care for censorship so I’m done with this Blog – It’s always just a matter of time until the presumed power of running a blog goes to the head of the blog owner and he/she starts playing god and censoring and in some more extreme cases those bloggers post old men abusing young boys “proudly” so I guess we know what their pride come from anyway that’s not my cup of tea – what I like is definitely at odds with what the owner of… Read more »
SENZA, I hope you reconsider. This blog would be so lame and boring without your presence and input.
Keep On Breaking The Rules
It’s a real shame that true collectors were sold out to bots used by profit seekers. Evidently the after market isn’t as lucrative as these individuals had hoped. I was upset reading that the mint had tried to reach out to us who were denied these coins due to BOT takeover to rectify this issue. I never received anything but a preliminary denial that bots were responsible and then back tracking responses thereafter. I still would like the coins but not likely to happen.6
That’s the real shame in all of these shenanigans.
A lot of this had to do with criminals and morons getting stimulus checks for the Government and outrageous unemployment compensation – I am seeing all of these markets cooling and prices dropping some but the damage is done
I did the math and the people who worked part-time and/or made minimum wage got the equivalent of 5 years wages in less than one year so they don’t have to go back to work until about 2024
Reddit meme stock buyers also came in when that crowd jumped into silver market price increases. Some of those folks used bots too.
Silver market prices dropping so probably won’t see meme stock folks next year unless: 1. silver prices jump again, or 2. they now have become coin collectors.
Guess the Reddit meme stock buyers forgot that you buy low and sell high. Where they bought on the high swing thinking silver prices still going higher but dropped 😮
Those guys area a joke they didn’t move silver a freaking hair and really they didn’t move AMC and the other turd Gamestop – the only movers are the hedge funds but they played it magnificently by letting reddit take the blame
Kaiser “I have never played the stock market” wow I’m surprised to hear that
Consider putting it on your bucket list
Getting started is easy and free – open a free brokerage account, make a watch list of stocks that interest you – then watch, watch, and watch some more like you would a coin and soon you will be able to predict what those stocks will do – you could pay a stock educator thousands of dollars and they would never tell you that simple learning process for beginning stock traders
Love the Monty Python reference!!
Correct Senza. Reddit folks didn’t make silver jump much but did on AMC & GameStop. Yep, many of them got busted holding on rather than selling/flipping. Hedge funds made fun of them and bought in to ride the upswing ride and knew when to sell to make their profits.
Well got my cc statement, its official. The mint refunded me for the “lost” cc and o morgans.
Sir Kaiser, … much like “The Power of Gold“
Your actually better off you can buy them cheaper on Feebay now because all of the shenanigans (crediting kaiser) have killed precious metals – I listed a Gold coin the other day with a .99 cent starting price and no reserve and got no bids – it’s time to stick a fork in precious metals – it could be another calm before the storm scenario but the US Government never duplicates it’s ponzi schemes they just come up with all new ponzi schemes
That sucks 🙁
At least I got my O. Still PO’d I got the CC taken out of my cart when I ordered 🙁
Silver is dropping so probably next year pick a CC up on eBay when prices for Morgan’s settle.
Ha ha ha, EZZZZZZZZZACTLY Kaiser!
Guess if that CC coin could talk would have a wonderful story to tell us all on its journey. From its birth off the press, encasing, processing center, thru the mail (or maybe not), then back home to its parents house at the Mint. Sounds like some college graduates today moving back home 🙂
I have friends Kaiser who are hoping their child’s student loans can be forgiven. Amazing how they think it’s a freebie and no one (US tax payer) will have to “pay it back” for them 🙁
Cc , o, s, d morgans just went back on sale at 11am pacific time! I got my cc and o order in….hopefully i getem this time….just did it as guest on my phone…process was QUICK! DIDNT check p mints as i didnt need… I got alert on my phone!
Picked up the O and CC to complete the collection. They had about 3,000 left of each.
Omg i felt like i hit lottery this morn! I reeeaally didnt think theyd go back on sale….glad i held off gettin on ebay!
I received a message today 3:00pm EST from the mint that show some 2021 Morgan dollars are available online only. I was able to order 1 each O, S and D with free shipping!
My computer was off and couldnt remember password…..i was like…. screw it …and did it quick on phone…that little bit of budget shipping….i did not care after the fiasco of the first time where coins were “lost” and mint refunded me for both….all i can say now is WHOOOPPPEEE… I finished my set! (As long as these actually show up)
I got an email at 2pm, but didnt get back until after 3pm. Missed ’em, oh well.
Yup. Got 2 separate emails about available O and CC privies. Was able to order 2 “O”s but shows “CC”s unavailable again moments later and was not able to order those. Of course busy signal when attempting to call as usual. Still chaotic and dysfunctional.
HarryG —
You may have exceeded your Quantity 3 max for your household. I got kicked back too, reduced my order, and got both the max of O and CC coins.
Whoops. Just checked and it now says Zero are available for both. But keep checking. It’s kind of like the weather in Detroit. If you don’t like it, wait 15 minutes.
Apologies to Kaiser as I just sent him a text saying they were available. Open mouth insert foot.
— -Mike
It’s good to know these are available again. My hope is people who weren’t able to get theirs the first time will be able to now.
Thank you I will keep trying. Just looking to complete a set anyway I can. If anybody wants to swap a CC for a P,D,S,O or a 2021 Peace Dollar I am now wiling and able to do so.
Harry —
Would you be willing to do it for me to get an ASE Item Number: 21EA ???
I got one as part of the Limited Edition Set. But the Mint literally screwed me out of getting the individually packaged one.
— Mike
Let me see what the 21EA is first. Be right back.
I am new to mint purchases and not familiar with this method to reference a coin. Unfortunately no, I have an extra 2021 UNC but not the PROOF. I do appreciate the offer very much however.
-Harry
I got one of each, one of each, one of each, beep, beep…. :-))
That’s all Folks!
Thathathathat’s all folks. Homage to Mel Blanc.
Well….they lasted about an hour it appears….congrats to everyone who was able to complete their sets.
I was briefly away from my computer. Returned. Saw message about Morgan CC. Zipped to Mint website. Alas, I must’ve missed it by minutes. But Mint had Morgan S. Able to buy two.
If anyone is interested in some kind of trade … I’ve an EXTRA Morgan S. Could arrive early next week. I won’t open box. Still NEED a CC to fill out a 2021 set. Trade interest anyone?
WELL! I JUST GOT MY shipping notification for the CC and O morgans…..lets see how far it progresses THIS time.
Just an update for my fellow collectors and FYI. In the end I got the 2nd chance to get the O privy from the mint which is in the shipping process. Because the CC was immediately sold out again, I ultimately purchased one from a fellow collector on another site which I am a member of that had an extra CC to spare for $150. Mission accomplished as far as the entire set is concerned and frankly I could care less that they are not slabbed at those exorbitant markups.. A little pricy and he is entitled to make a… Read more »
Congrats, Harry. “Now we know…the rest of the story.”
Thank you, thank you very much.
It is my well considered opinion that if you were late to be notified of these coins production, and therefore you have to pay extra for the complete set, is that you wait. Wait until the price comes back to Earth on these coins. Remember the UHR Gold Coins? Remember the Gold Buffalo coin sets of four? Just examples but very useful for comparison. Wait, the prices will, WILL come back to Earth on these coins also.
