Everything is down today, except for the cost of living.
You know what Antonio? You are correct! Check out this US Mint Press Release from today! Notice anything funny! LOL INCOMPETENT! Wait that was supposed to be PERIOD. Todays “US Mint Press Release” you can’t make this stuff up? Again, What base was “Who” on? See anything wrong with this picture? “The rolls and bags product options include: Priced at $40.00, a bag of 100 uncirculated clad quarter dollars minted in Philadelphia (product code 23WBA). Priced at $40.00, a bag of 100 uncirculated clad quarter dollars minted in Denver (product code 23WBB) Priced at $36.00, a two-roll set containing a… Read more »
Alright, so sorry Kaiser Wilhelm. I was simply taking Antonio’s post of “Everything is down today” and trying to interject a little humor, by tying in with the “downward” posted price in the US Mints “Press Release”, which I found amusing, as they just raised prices and now post a Press Release, with a lower price, after the fact. Also, I figured since this article pertained to US Mint sales and showed the previous released 2023 Ohio AI, that Bessie’s release was close enough and the Price increase fiasco, fresh enough, that it would be ok? Guess I was wrong:… Read more »
The current price/value of precious metals/futures. No mention of the Mint, since the stock market has no knowledge of Mints in it’s buying and selling of metals. Not to be confused with bullion medals, which are a different matter altogether. The Mint’s confusing press releases are humorous though.
Couldn’t help but notice how little your comments on this article contribute to furthering dialogue on this article/topic Kaiser Wilhelm? Hail Kaiser Wilhelm oh Master Moderator! LOL Back to coins and on topic of this sales report. Did anyone notice and or can you explain the sales of 200, 2019 US Mint Proof sets that just so happened to be the same as follows? “The 2019 United States Mint Proof Set® contains 10 proof coins, each bearing the “S” mint mark of the United States Mint at San Francisco.New in 2019! Premium Coin: The 2019 Proof Set is accompanied by… Read more »
Brings to mind the five 1913 Liberty nickels which happened to appear a few years after 1913.
1st of all, thanks again for welcoming me Kaiser Wilhelm and engagingly, being a genuine pleasure to interact with! I am the newbie here and although I’ve read many of your posts and should have just rolled(haha, get it coin rolls) with your posts, I for some reason felt compelled to call out the proverbial “pot”? Id elaborate further, however since wokeism is alive and well, I’m afraid to repeat what was said of the “kettle”. I only hope to be entertained, educated, as well as entertain and add something to the dialogue pertaining to coins, more often than not.… Read more »
Crazy Kaise; not sure why, but I almost feel like that is a quote or should be,(?) from Winnie the Pooh?
On another related topic I’d like to talk about(?) ask some questions, having to do with the US Mint Platinum product sales and the US Mints Precious Metals Price Range Table. Why aren’t numismatic or bullion for that matter, when it comes to US Platinum products selling better when you look at US Mint premium to spot price as compared to Palladium and everyone’s favorite PM, Gold? Especially if compared to, say the Royal Canadian Mint? Anybody have an actual, scientific, quantifiable reason why the US Mint can offer a 1 oz Pt coin for only $545 over spot, yet… Read more »
Shhhh … I’m planning on buying the platinum proof in a couple of weeks. Don’t let the Mint know that it should be charging me more.
Reminds me of the time I bought a proof W Buffalo gold one ounce coin for $999 when gold was going for more than that price for an ounce at the time. I jumped on the opportunity, as did many others.
Not sure how long you’ve been at this coin thing Kaiser, however I think Antonio is referring to this time period; 14 years ago? What he describes is directly related to this US Mint announcement from 2009. I remember the “buzz” as that’s right when I jumped into the “fray”/water; luckily feet first, vs head first! Numismatic and bullion spot pricing, prices to consumer converged. Next came the inception of the now “infamous” Price Range Table” the high prices just keeps going up and up and up and…… another “up” is coming very, very, very soon!(Days-week or 2, at most?)… Read more »
Actually, I’m pretty sure you know why Kaiser Wilhelm, as you mentioned it early in your comment. It’s not called “My Precious” for any ole’ reason! These coins cost more as they must be made with a similar alloy, to that of the “One Ring” to rule them all”? Or something like that assuredly?
All I can say to that Kaiser is you are beyond a doubt one of the “Really Good Ones”! Not saying you don’t have your own fallacies or issues, however a) we won’t go there, b) Beyond a shadow of doubt, not having ever met you personally, I can tell you have a very “High Set “ of standards you follow when it comes to morals, ethics and integrity, answering to yourself is of great, great importance! Thanks for sharing and showing your true colors and not being afraid of “What others” think! I know for myself, I struggle at… Read more »
And suddenly quantity available =49 under subscription for the 3 roll women’s quarters. Either a bunch of people unsubscribed, or the mint has released some they were “holding in reserve”. if you look under current product it indicates 12531 available, which we know is bogus.
