Reverse proof coins feature a finish that is inverted compared to that of standard proof coins, with mirror-like polished designs that contrast against a frosted background. Two of the three Mint products for November include reverse proof coins.

Should have included the MP in the silver set. It may sell out, but don’t think it’ll be an instant hit. Maybe a stocking stuffer for grandpa or great grandpa since they seem to like them. But not dad, he collects digital. I believe the hype of MP has run its course. It remains to be seen how well the Disney dynasty of coins will do. Shaka Zulu coin. Maybe cleopatra coin, Shakira, Carmen Miranda, lady Diana, Marie Antoinette. If ya gonna honor women and minorities, why limit it to America? Seems to me that a couple hundred years is… Read more »

The French Mint, Monnaie de Paris, has several Disney coins on sale now. They sent me an email other day showing their Mickey & Daffy coins – whippedy doo 😉

Royal Mint already did Alice in Wonderland coins

I think both of these Mint’s colorized them too 🙁

Is it an error if they color outside the lines? Or is it part of being an imagineer

Antonio

Dozed off.

Dazed and Coinfused

Pretty clever. Wonderful play on words as always Keiser. Now let’s do things that rhyme with our favorite color. Mine is orange

That’s why I have my helmet on.

Even though the mintage is high it is a must have set.

I hope that everyone that is here on Coin News that is ordering the RP Morgan and Peace $1 set, receives the quality coins your deserve and happy with your purchase. Especially at , if I’m not mistaken, $107.68 per ounce of silver. That got me to thinking, at the willingness to spend that much per ounce for a silver coin, if ones mind is open to other sovereign mints offering, your options at the $107.68/ounce price level, should be quite vast. These sets will be able to be bought at less than issue price in fairly short order on… Read more »

At this price it should be nothing but quality.

Dazed and Coinfused

At $76 and $80 should have been too. But maybe that’s how mint and the dealers stay in cohoots. Intentional marring of certain coins to increase rarity, like the Denver Morgan. More 69s than p0rnhub

After Mike gets his advanced releases, he’ll volunteer to package the rest. Ooopsies dropped another. Ooopsies dropped another. Ooopsies dropped another.

Kaiser,

You are not supposed to tell about our dirty numismatic secrets!…the NSA is listening in & viewing our comments. Lol. So is the Federal Trade Commission. Not to mention the Deceptive Trade Practices laws in most states. Somehow, Mike “The Ripoff Coin King” Mezack runs under the radar, & settles lawsuits against him & the company that buys the coins he offers out of court (Collectors Alliance Company of NJ). Did I say that out loud? Lol.

If trump us about to suffer tremendously (lose ability to do business in NY and huge fines) for inflating the value of his properties (even though it should be up to bank to do due diligence and verify funds, I mean I had to pay for my inspection and appraiser to buy my house) why isn’t the same principal applied to mike a d his outrageous gouging, fake sell out, and overall deceptive practices.

Dazed and Coinfused

article said that this version of MP was $76 and sold out. Then those version of MP with x mintage sold for $80. Still available. And this offering of MP is only $185, a paultry penance of just $92.50 each. For 12.50 the mint will push a button and press image not once or twice as usual, but 3 times. Less packaging than 2 separate coins. At this rate it is on par with the hsn fiji set. I wonder how many oil stains, or red hairs or imperfections will occur in pressing as the previous releases have been crap.… Read more »

Didn’t CN post article few months back about the counterfeit slabbed coins? I like conspiracies, it adds an air of mystery. And makes you delve deeper into the abyss to track leads. Usually whatever outcome you want you’ll eventually find enough material to add plausibility to the claim. It’s human nature. If you can find a show called Adam ruins everything, you should try to watch the full series.

I wish I could help, Kaiser Wilhelm. I have had many pleasant dreams and few nightmares, but only one terrifying one (only because reality intruded into the dream. A long time ago I was dreaming a monster was coming through my bedroom wall so I woke up, and I heard a rodent scratching at my bedroom wall. That scared me real good for a second). I wish I could send you some of my tranquility. My “nightmares” are more mundane, work related ones. Like I can’t find something (a part, a tool, a place, an item) to complete whatever old… Read more »

Dazed and Coinfused

Can’t see the forest for the trees. And if ya live out west, probably can’t see the forest cuz the fires burned em down.

Additionally, saw a documentary on Mexico city. Used to be under a 500 feet deep lake, but the conquerors had a centuries long plan to make it great again. It still floods, and they doing better, but still work to do. The show, “what on earth”

Hi Kaiser Wilhelm, Interestingly, just days ago I read (in Discover Magazine) about Lake Titicaca in Southern Peru that is the largest lake in South America and is at an elevation of 12500 feet above sea level. What stuck with me though, is the people that live there live on manmade floating islands on the lake. They are called the Uros people. When the Inca Empire rose they were chased off their land to the shores of the lake. Lots of reeds, easy to hide there. Somewhere along the way, they started living on the lake, building small islands out… Read more »

VERY disappointed in the 5 sets I received today. At least 2 of them (maybe 3) are going back to the “mint”. Blue strings, spotting, knicks, open/loose capsules, pens marks on the COA’s. Literally signed up for these 2 years ago and have been patiently waiting. Ridiculous.

That is indeed ridiculous. At the cost of these they should be 70’s. Quality control must be sub par today. Don’t blame you for returning them.
