The Certified Collectibles Group® and Whitman Brands are thrilled to announce that Whitman has been named the Official Supply Store of Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) and Paper Money Guaranty (PMG). Through a licensing agreement with Certified Collectibles Group, Whitman will now sell NGC-branded and PMG-branded storage supplies for coin and paper money collectors.

The overall objective of the move is to capitalize on Whitman’s established retail and wholesale sales, distribution and marketing channels to deliver an unparalleled shopping experience for collectors seeking high-quality, branded supplies.

Founded in 1987, the Certified Collectibles Group is one of the world’s largest providers of authentication and grading services for collectibles with more than 100 million items certified across all of its categories. In addition to NGC and PMG, which provide numismatic authentication and grading services, the Certified Collectibles Group includes CGC (services for comic books, trading card games, sports cards and other pop culture collectibles), ASG (services for stamps) and JSA (autograph authentication).

John Feigenbaum, President and CEO of Whitman Brands, stated, "We are excited to expand our offerings and provide wholesalers, dealers and collectors with top-quality NGC and PMG supplies. He added, "This partnership with NGC and PMG, two of the hobby’s leading grading services, allows us to further our core commitment to a rich coverage of collectibles and continue serving the numismatic and paper money collecting communities with passion and excellence."

As part of this new venture, Whitman will take over the sales, distribution and new product development of NGC- and PMG-branded products previously available direct to consumers through the CCG Store. Initial product launch will include the well-known stalwarts — plastic coin storage boxes, coin flips and paper money pouches — with plans to expand offerings in the future. Most importantly, this agreement serves to underpin increased collaboration between the two companies going forward.

"Our collaboration with Whitman brands marks a significant milestone for us. By designating Whitman as the Official Supply Store of NGC and PMG, we are confident that collectors will immediately benefit from their established distribution channels, customer service and reach," said Max Spiegel, President of Certified Collectibles Group. "This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to optimize the collecting experience."

The aim is to create a seamless transition for collectors seeking high-quality supplies. Starting August 15, 2024, customers can conveniently purchase these items from Whitman.com, Whitman’s Ebay Store and Amazon, as well as other dealers and retailers nationwide.

To order any NGC and PMG supplies moving forward, customers will directly visit the Official NGC and PMG Supply Stores hosted by Whitman.com in lieu of the former CCG Store. CCG members will not be required to log in to their CCG accounts. Rather, customers can register for an account on Whitman.com to securely and conveniently store their information, preferences and wish lists for future purchases, as well as receive promotions and specials.

I think I’m going to give ASG a try for Stamps. Stamps in a slab had been tried before by another philatelic company. But there were problems. I wonder if ASG had discovered better materials or a better holder. Kaiser or JQC, anyone, any advice?

“ASG currently does not accept submissions in the United States. If you are located in Mainland China and would like to submit stamps for ASG services, please visit ASGstamps.cn.”

Really! What a big disappointment. Forget that idea. PSE is in Henderson Nevada. Now that would be worth the drive.

Good night Kaiser and please keep the hot poker on your side of the bed.

Kaiser,

Are you OK boss?

Do you copy?

Just a bit of “late night reading” over at the Onion?
I do it myself, but instead I’m over at a coin blog or something similar. Or if I really can’t sleep, a good dose of VamWorld 2.0 does the trick lol…..

What is the goal of The Onion?
Rhetorical Purpose.
“The purpose of The Onion is to make people question what they are exposed to by the media on an every day basis through the use of satire and parody. They are using this strategy to bring humor to what is essentially a serious issue.”

Kaiser, I was stationed in Heidelberg back in ‘73! Boy, that’s a long time ago. I was in 130th Station Command, I did some partying there. You remember “Susies”? ;). I saw the Rollin Stones and Billy Preston in Mannheim when I was stationed in Heidelberg. Mannheim is very close to Heidelberg. Oh, those were the dayZ!

Kaiser,

Great Bio! Truly amazing stuff. Thank you for sharing. You probably have a better understanding of humanity and society than most of us put together. And you as well AKBob.

Prost

I remember the first patch was the “Rainbow Division” which was assigned to West Berlin, when such a place existed. With the reunification of Berlin, the unit was disbanded (unless I’m proven wrong).

The diversity of human life on this high-speed planet is a complex reality that we must all deal with. In a lifetime, we probably see more, do more, experience more, travel more, and learn more than we care to. I often question whether or not we are actually designed to be performing at this level and capacity. Maybe this explains why people, societies, and governments malfunction. But for me, I stopped trying to solve the world’s problems a long time ago and today I just go on living as simply as I can.
