The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) will hold a three-hour public meeting via videoconference on Tuesday, Nov. 19, to review and discuss candidate designs for the 2025 coins and medals featuring DC Super Heroes Batman and Wonder Woman, as well as the Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley Congressional Gold Medal.
The CCAC is tasked with advising the Secretary of the Treasury on themes and designs pertaining to all United States coins and medals.
Specifically, agenda topics for the CCAC meetings include reviewing and discussing candidate designs for:
- the 2025 Comic Art Super Hero Coin and Medal Program — Batman and Wonder Woman;
- the Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley Congressional Gold Medal; and
- potentially Semiquincentennial-related products.
In addition, CCAC members will review their 2024 Fiscal Year Annual Report for approval.
The Comic Art Super Heroes coins and medals program highlights a U.S. Mint licensing partnership with DC Comics. This series will feature nine iconic superheroes on 24-karat gold coins, .999 fine silver medals, and non-precious metal clad medals. Launching in 2025 with Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, the collection will continue through 2026 and 2027 with six additional superheroes. Designs for the Superman coin and medals have already been recommended.
The Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley medal, authorized by Public Law 117-334, honors Emmett Till, who was brutally murdered at 14 in 1955 after being accused of offending a white woman in her family’s grocery store. The medal also recognizes his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley, for her courage and relentless pursuit of justice in a case that became a catalyst for the civil rights movement. The CCAC previously reviewed proposed medal designs in April and requested a second portfolio for further review.

Oh boy, we go from the Au FH fiasco to a cartoonish coin. Can’t wait to see how fast these fly out the door.
But what if it’s a cartoonish Au coin with a special privy and Ventris signed coa? Then it will be all the rage.
The skies the limit then! I find it interesting that coins here with ‘privy marks’ are sought after as though they can cure ailments for the buyer, yet those from the Canadian mint with privies can’t even fetch a yawn. I’m going to participate in the upcoming auction, but as I’ll set a limit of $50-$65k for one, I don’t expect to procure any. As I don’t currently have any ailments, I don’t really need this coin.I’m expecting the big players that will simply resell these to someone they can fleece for 40 or 50%, maybe 100%, of their initial… Read more »
FHG Privies will be auctioned over at Stacks Bowers Galleries,
You called that one AKBob!

I put in a bid for $2 on one of the PR 70’s…hope it wins! I see the 1st one w/ dye is already at $50k. I think these are all going to go for some serious dollars if anything can be ascertained from the recent FH sellout.
Mint has shipped xxx25xxx, she’s as borne by the die, and apparently need my signature. I better stick around the next few days.
I wish everyone, or at least many more here were expecting.
I’m in a quandary as to if to open like it’s Christmas morning, or leave as-is for the kids, some lawyer, or marauding troops or gangs to let the light shine on her.
Rick,
I “thot” these weren’t going up for Auction till 12/12/2024! What happened? Am I wrong? Thx! 😉
Live bidding begins on that date at 9:00 AM PST. These are going to go for really high dollars, in my humble opinion.
The announcement has been made
Starting bid on #1 is $55,000.

Try putting in a bid on any of them. There’s always a higher bid on the right. I’m thinking if any want those 70’s, better have a six figure stash of cash to spend.
I see the price on the right includes your 20% buyers premium.
They are all PCGS graded.
I like the Flowing Hair Joker coin design
Yeah I’ll get this to make up for the debacle re:FHG
