Mounted on an attractive display card are three collectible 2014 Shenandoah National Park Quarters. The Shenandoah coins commemorate the national site for the state of Virginia.

For new collectors of the Mint’s America the Beautiful Quarters®, a series dating back to 2010, one of the nice things about Three-Coin Sets is that all but one is still for sale. It is easy to catch up with the series whereas most U.S. Mint products are lucky to be available for one year after they are released.

As we have been doing here on Coin News Extra for some time with new sets, further below we offer the latest sales figures for all of them. First, we offer a quick review of the 2014-dated sets. This year’s five sets with three still on the horizon include America the Beautiful Quarters commemorating:

  • Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee
  • Arches National Park in Utah
  • Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado
  • Everglades National Park in Florida

Held within Three-Coin Sets are three America the Beautiful Quarters — two in uncirculated quality and one in proof quality. These are qualities minted specifically for collectors. The proof coin is struck at the U.S. Mint in San Francisco and has a ‘S’ mint mark. The uncirculated quarters are split with one produced at the U.S. Mint in Denver and the other struck at the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia. These two coins have mint marks of ‘D’ and ‘P’.

As promised, here are United States Mint sales figures as of Sunday, April 13, 2014 for all sets released.
