The United States Mint on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 published pricing for a new product offering, the America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coin Presentation Case.
A lot of 25 presentation cases will be offered for sale at a price of $86.95, according to a U.S. Mint notice on the Federal Register. The Federal Register is the official source of notices by government agencies.
The United States Mint has not released greater details regarding the presentation cases, which is normal at this point as the Federal Register is often the first line of basic information for new and upcoming Mint products.
Obviously, the name implies that it will added to the Mint’s product of albums and storage supplies, and hold America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins. These are the new three-inch diameter coins from the U.S. Mint that are composed of five ounces of .999 fine silver and bear the same designs as those featured on the America the Beautiful Quarters®. However, it would seem likely that the cases could also be used for the collector versions of the five ounce coins, the America the Beautiful Silver Uncirculated Coins. Although the Mint may provide different packaging entirety for them.
The U.S Mint has already sold all of its 2010-dated ATB bullion coins, it has not yet released the 2010-dated ATB collector versions. Those are expected out at any point. The first 2011-dated bullion coin is scheduled for release in late April. (Read First 2011 ATB Silver Bullion Coin Arrives in April.)
The bullion coins are released through the Mint’s network of distributors. The uncirculated coins will be sold directly by the Mint to the public.
